For $29.99 a month, you can attend every football, mens basketball, womens basketball and baseball game.
The caveat is that you have to live within 60 miles of campus.
Thoughts?

Sounds truly pathetic.
I can't imagine living is Mississippi. Truly! It must be so depressing...

What is the point of the 60 mile radius?

I couldn't figure it out either. It disqualifies me, because this is a much better option for me than to buy season tickets to everything when I can't commit to going to all games - especially basketball and baseball.

It's probably to ensure that people actually show up to other events and don't just buy it for the football games and the occasional basketball or baseball game.
60 miles and under means those people can make more spur of the moment decisions to attend games. There will be more butts in seats because of it.

What kind of seats are available?

It appears that it whatever they have for a particular game. Could be premium 50 yard line lower level or upper deck - no guarantees.
Looks like its just another revenue stream. If they get 1000 subscribers it will be an additional $300k they didn't have.

I like the idea. Everybody in here acting like every sporting event at THEIR campus is sold out is quite funny.

Any idea how many people live within 60 miles of Miss State and not students/faculty/staff at the university?
Philadelphia and Tupelo are probably 65 miles from Starkville.

You pick up Columbus, West Point and a lot of rural Mississippi.

Would be a great idea if Alabama did it

Tupelo and Philadelphia are both within the 60 mile radius, but just barely

Philadelphia is just under 60mi. Permanent residents within 60mi of Starkville, I'd guess 200k people. The GTR region is about 128k.

Basically they get to hold on to available tickets until the last minute to try to get full price then dump them if they are unsold. Pretty good concept given the way all these non-conference teams generally return tickets. Problem is in most instances the available tickets will be uppers for crappy games where you could walk up and get a ticket for free, or at least really cheap.

That's not the funny part, the funny part is its $360 for all those sports combined for the year.
Compare that to a real program like UGA where it's $250 a year, per seat, in the highest section, just in contribution. Which gives you the right to even order actual tix. Which you aren't guaranteed.

That's nothing to brag about. That's ridiculous

Looks like I can go to the UGA site and order Nicholls state and ULLAF Tix right now.
