Living in Madison Ms, I can tell you, MOST all Miss State fans have NO CLUE what is about to happen tonight. Hell, even the local ESPN guys are absolutely certain State will win. That John Weeny guy was actually saying that State is on the same level as LSU now and that this is a game that State SHOULD win, before they get to the real tough games. It's like the team has been a power all these years, recruits at the top of the SEC, and didn't lose all those starters this past year. Meanwhile, LSU may have it's most talented team since Miles has been there, and most of these guys actually have experience coming back this year.
I know that most teams have fans that are delusional, but these State fans are comical. After the game, you will hear a lot of them saying "we should have saw this coming after Southern Miss". Hell, than John Weeny guy was on the air saying how much of a quality win that was for State over Southern. LOL. It's going to be fun to be in those stands tonight boys....reality is going to set back in for State tonight.

you guys win one game in twenty years against a team loaded with TF starting (and you barely hang on for the win in that one despite dominating)...and you talk shite on here. Blows my mind. The beating is going to hurt you guys tonight....but at least you will find out early in the season you aren't worth a shite, and will always be "hail state". Your best season ever and you lose 3 games. Most of the truly elite teams in the SEC would consider that a poor season.

I agree. I live in Brandon. I keep hearing the same stuff. Even all the State fans I know are different this year. Instead of being worried about their poor showing at Southern, they've become delusional. Most of them have already started looking to next week. They count this as an automatic win.

Scientology Dan has done a remarkable job of brainwashing tLandmass and putting a hex on State fans and local media pundits' ability to think critically about his team.
I've never seen delusion like this in all my years of following sports.
The really intriguing thing to me is whether he'll be able to maintain thought control over the fanbase after the bottom inevitably falls out this year, or whether there will be anger from a fanbase that feels like he deliberately mislead them and in doing so prevented them from preparing themselves emotionally for the let down.
