Is South Alabama that good where State is only favored by 14 because I see easy money.

It's only that low of a spread because South Bama is home

State tends not to cover in games like this.

But will they make it that close, I mean State will be better athlete wise across the board.

Yeah, this line scares me. Seems like a no brainer, but I guess somebody knows something I don't.

When the coach of the favorite publicly states there will be mass subs early and often, Vegas tends to take notice. State will walk away from them in the second half and cover easily.

This is my thinking even your back ups should score at least twice.

South has had this one on its calendar since spring. State has LSU in BR next week. If State is looking ahead, South could make a game of it. Dont be fooled, South has some legit athletes, big Oline, talented receivers and very athletic QB. Depth and speed not at SEC level, but a very solid team. Could be a blowout, but could be shockingly close.

it was hard to get a read on South in the opener.

they got off to a fast start but then in the 2nd half they kind of slowed down.

you mentioned the offense. We have a lot of returning starters on that side of the ball. I like our WR's a lot.

but I'm not so sure about the front seven on defense. I'm not saying they suck but they are not as experienced.

the secondary is a lot more experienced though.

Msu doesn't have true sec speed. They have a few guys that are legit but honestly most of MSUs players weren't highly rated recruits. The talent gap won't be that large between the teams, that's why UAB moved the ball at will against them.

They should win this game but msu isn't a great example for "sec speed".

State will cover that imo but I wouldn't touch it either.

I think State has the low spread because of the UAB game but I think that had more to do with how UAB played and less to do with how State played. It's still yet to be seen if USA is any good this season.

Muffin is gonna sub so much he might even send his hunch in for a play or two. It won't even be a shokker if state loses. Its not like they have played anybody and almost got there arse handed to them by the b'ham blazers. The grind is pethetic and the season is barely underway. Everybody hopes msu loses this game.

The fact that State gave up 3 long passing TDs to UAB and gave up 34 points will probably help them here. If they had beat UAB 47 to 7 they would probably be 20 point favs and S Bama would have been the bet.

What are the odds on Mullen putting in 2nd string players before 5mins in game is up?
