Sirmon pushed off to Colorado and State is trying to steal Todd Grantham.
I know UGA fans wanted him gone but this would be a good hire for us.

He's had them in the top 15 defenses nationally for the last 3 seasons. One of the better DC's in the country.
We will see how it shakes out, he's going to want a lot of cash that's for damn sure. 5th highest paid assistant in the nation right now.

His defenses are statistically better than Strongs, and he's done it in the ACC with 3* talent vs whatever shitbird conference y'all were in before that. You people are head over heals retarded if you think you're going to be better than that defensively with Bobby Petrino running the ship.
That being said, we have the 110th ranked defense in the country. We will gladly take the DC, that has inferior talent ranked 14th, off your hands.

Can't speak about Mullen but Bert normally tries to do something similar so he doesn't have to just straight fire a guy. Mullen might have fired him after the signing period if he had no other choice.

Yeah it's better for both parties if you tell them to find another job. He hasn't been in Starkville for a week or so now.
We avoid paying his buyout and he gets the resume benefit of taking another job rather than getting canned.

Agreed, as long as the coach doesn't keep him purely because he doesn't want fire him than it works out best for everyone involved.

Like I said, ask UGA how he was for them. I'm not saying they wanted Willie Martinez back bad, but he was let go a year or two later.
