A telling point is that State only scored 13 points vs Georgia and Auburn and gave up 80.

It seems if they get down on the road they tend to lay down and their offense goes to shite.

First of all, Sumlin's record at home against the SEC West is simply terrible, and it is one of the main reasons he should be fired. Kyle Field thrives on defense, not offense. Atmosphere is amazing when the defense is playing well

Second, A&M doesn't have the team to take advantage of State's weakness - the secondary. Kellen Mond is a true freshman, and you can see he misses a LOT of open receivers in the game tape and has a tendency to lock on to his primary receiver. Expected, though.

Most importantly, A&M isn't running against the MSU defense so I expect a tight, low-scoring game. How the A&M defense plays against Fitzgerald will be key. Does he have the ability to take advantage of A&M's weak secondary? Funny enough, these two teams are almost mirrors of one another but State is more mature

Should be a good game

Reasonable assessment. I agree.

It is the reason I expect Auburn to simply whip A&M like they did MSU. Our secondary is also weak, and they have the team to take advantage

State plays 3 teams this year with dominant front 7. State has lost to 2 of those and will lose to the 3rd in 3 weeks. Every team State was supposed to beat , they beat.

If we're going that route....

vs UK Allowed 120 rush/220 Passing 340 Total and 27 pts
vs LSU Allowed 216 rush/125 Passing 341 Total and 17 pts

MSU

Outstanding post.

I expect a very entertaining game.

If it's a low scoring affair I like our chances with how our Defense has been playing. If Fitzgerald gets in a groove it could be a bad day for the home team.

State is a dang good team, the grind appears to be back on.

Dudes. MSU is not coming to Kyle Field and win a Saturday night game.

State is the only SEC West team you've beaten at home since Johnny left. People can win in Kyle.

I think State would have had much more trouble with LSU had Guice been healthy then and had Orgeron not been so much in the way. They may still have beaten LSU that night, but maybe not. LSU is obviously playing much much better since the final wake up call against Troy.

It's really simple,if we can run the ball we win,if we have to rely on the pass we lose by 14-21 points. That's the way it has been with MSU under mullen.

I know it's a small sample size. I was really just trying to point out it's been done a few times in the last couple years.

It's also not really fair when Bama is one of those teams.
