Yep. Alabama and Arkansas fans are flooding the site (IP addresses from those areas).

Les Miles has coached 142 games in 11 seasons at LSU.
Number 143, it appears, will be his last.
Miles indicated to members of the Gridiron Club on Friday that Saturday’s matchup between LSU and Texas A&M would be his final game as the Tigers' head coach, sources at the meeting told Tiger Rag.
The coach appeared in good spirits, sources said, reiterating messages that he’d "always be a Tiger” and "thanks for a great 11 years," but informed the booster club's members, in an indirect but clear manner, that Friday’s meeting would be his last with them, even explicitly saying he would not be coaching LSU’s bowl game.
Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman announced yesterday Miles would be "let go as the coach of LSU” on Sunday or Monday. That would appear to open the door for former LSU offensive coordinator and current Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher to return to Baton Rouge as Miles’ replacement, a scenario Football Scoop’s Scott Roussel considers to be LSU’s primary plan.
Miles has posted a 110-32 record at LSU, and his .775 winning percentage is the best among LSU coaches with a minimum of 25 games coached. He won two SEC championships, three SEC West titles, and the 2007 BCS National Championship, with a runner-up finish in 2011.
Miles’s contract with LSU runs through 2019, and if he is in fact fired, LSU will owe him a $15 million buyout.

I'll say the same thing here I said on tRant.
LSU just screwed up!
Joe Alleva is to LSU what Mike Hamilton was to Tennessee.
You will rue this day.

I honestly can't believe LSU is doing this. The guy has been the third most successful coach in America for a decade. The odds of landing a more successful replacement are astronomical.
Just mind-blowing levels of arrogance from that fanbase.

You guys really don't get it.
Yes, it could be for the worse, we understand.
But some of the decisions he has made since 2008 have been pretty bad, and there's no denying that LSU has been on a skid since 2012. He's lost it, and appears that it won't come back while he's at LSU.
The fanbase isn't making the decision to let him go, BTW. It's the LSU administration, and there are *possibly* other factors no one knows about why he's being let go.

History shows moves like this almost never work out. I can literally think of one time it ever led to a better hire.
More often than not this will lead to a cycle of hiring and firing 2-3 coaches before they find this level of success again.

The fanbase played no part in this decision whatsoever.
This is a huge risk. I hope for Alleva's sake he has a plan that was set in stone before doing this.

Made a few of your coaches quit. Then hired one and beat you with him. Twice.

I'm surprised this thread wasn't started by a Bammer.

News 2 spoke with multiple people who attended the Gridiron Club meeting and refuted the article's claims. Specifically, they said Miles told members he hoped to coach the Tigers through a possible bowl game, which would indicate he planned to remain as head coach at least through the bowl season.
