Mike the Tiger or human lives?

A bengal tiger is very cool creature. I would consider trading 15 human lives to keep this cat alive - all sports and politics aside.
How many human lives would you be willing to trade for a tiger?

LSU's live mascot Mike Tiger VI has developed a dark patch on his face following radiation therapy he underwent for a spindle cell sarcoma.
An LSU spokesperson said the noticeable dark spot around the 420-pound tiger's right eye, which was previously covered by fur, formed naturally from his skin's melanin to protect the area from sunlight.
It's unclear whether the hair will regrow on Mike's face, but it is likely to be thin and lightly colored if so, which means the spot is likely to remain visible for the long run.
Officials previously said that the 11-year-old live tiger mascot wasn't expected to lose his hair.
Mike was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma on the right side of his face in May after caretakers noticed swelling round his eye.
He was later treated with stereotactic radiotherapy, which uses a beam of X-rays pinpointing the tumor, at the Mary Bird Perkins-Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
Mike is expected to die from the incurable and inoperable cancer within a year or two. The radiation treatment was expected to extend his life beyond the estimated weeks he would have otherwise survived.

Why 15? Why not 14 or 16? Such an arbitrary number. Would you trade your life or your mom's life for the tiger?

Do I get to pick the humans? I could probably get that pretty high. Factor in how hard it will be to get the next Tiger and it is a little scary what I am willing to do.

This thread is quite uncomfortable.

I think the days of live Bengal tigers at LSU are likely gone.

It sounds like the answer is having a mate and a sustainability plan. I would think that was the plan all along with the enclosure that was built.

lets face it there are some humans we would be better off without. In this hypothetical saving Mike is lagniappe as they say.
If we are going random selected humans it gets tricky.

Happily we've moved past sacrificing people to the gods in hopes that it will cure an illness.

5 billion. Then the earth could sustain the human population.
The current population of 7.4 billion is causing the sixth great extinction in the history of the earth.

Ironic statement, since their whole point is that black lives don't matter to you.

That tiger could live forever

Nah their whole point is to seek attention and cause even more of a divide than there was in the first place.
No lives matter. The Universe doesn't give a frick about you or anyone.

So since they have different political views than you, you'd be willing to kill them?
Wow.
