He was a pretty good coach and recruiter at Bama why is he not getting more interest in some of these vacant head coaching jobs in college football.

Ask Florida about that game in 2005 31-3 if he can win a ball game.

I don't think he wants to be a HC.

I bet he is/has. I think that he would rather stay in the NFL for the rest of his career.

He was underrated. Did a nice job to navigate Alabama through major NCAA sanctions. He may have won the SEC in 2005 if Prothro didn't get injured.

The way these college coaches are getting paid nowadays he would be crazy not to consider a HC job at Miami or Texas

Prothro wouldn't have gotten injured if Shula hadn't been trying to run the score up on Florida.

Go look at the 2005 Alabama team a lot of players on that team are either still in the NFL or had a pretty decent NFL career...when Saban retires at Bama I wouldn't mind having him as our coach, especially now with all the NFL experience.

This. It was one of the most horrific and unnecessary injuries in SEC history.

What's Prothro doing now anyway?

I liked Shula. Kinda miss him.

Especially that deer in the headlights look he got at the beginning of every 4th quarter.

I'd also like to see him get another shot at Bama I always felt he got a raw deal and wasn't given enough time

Are you on crack or just hunting on a baited field? Pretty good coach and recruiter - lost me.
