Id say Kelly

ND pulls top players because its ND.

Leach never had anywhere near that kind of talent

Yeah I was leaning slightly toward Kelly myself.

These have got to be the 2 most overrated coaches in CFB.

Leach by a long shot. Brian Kelly won two Division II national championships at Grand Valley State and has been a serial winner everywhere he's been.

Wow you're citing D-2 national titles?

Does anybody cite Jim Tressel's D1AA titles when talking about what a great coach he was?

Leach has beaten USC, UCLA, Oregon in the last few years at Washington fricking State. Those teams had the talent edge at every position. He's not overrated at all.

He's 21-30 at WSU with losses to FCS teams 2 straight years.

I have no idea why people think he's a good coach.

What about turning around perennial losers Central Michigan or taking Cincinnati to back to back BCS bowl games or leading Notre Dame to the national championship game? The guy's a really good coach. I also think people have been way too hard on Charlie Strong who's a much better coach than people give him credit for.

Oh God. Now you're mentioning Charlie Strong? Who might be the 3rd most overrated CFB coach after Leach and Kelly?

Definitely Kelly, and not just because I hate ND. Like someone said, Leach doesn't have near the players to work with.

I will say that Kelly's 12-0 season was the worst 12-0 season I've ever seen. Or at least it was until the 2014 FSU team.

Washington State is not an easy place to win. That program has played in a total of 12 bowl games in its entire history and Leach coached 2 of them.

I have never seen a coach with a .412 winning percentage at their current location be so highly regarded before.

He is 21-30.

People don't realize how awful his defenses are. And really his offenses at WSU haven't been spectacular either.

I wonder how many 8-4 seasons Kelly can survive.
