I am sure everyone that regularly plays UGA knows of superfan Mike Big Dawg Woods and his famous bulldog painting on his head. Sadly college football lost one of the most notable fans this morning. Even though he is a huge passionate fan of my teams rival, he was what is right about being a fan. There through ups and downs and always painting his head no matter the circumstances. Tech fans have nothing but great things to say about Mike Woods and he will be sorely missed on gamedays.
I remember as a kid making a fair amount of fun of that ugly dawg on his head. He had an impression on all opposing fans but was never a poor sport. From this Tech fan, I am truly sorry for your loss bulldog nation.

Damn. Stuff like this bothers me more than it should, probably. Verne retiring, Big Dawg passing, Keith Jackson seemingly getting close. I'm only 29, but it just makes me feel old - like part of my childhood is gone. Very sad. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear that. It hurt me more than it should have when Mr. Penny died a few years ago. Fans like these guys help make college football more fun.
