Is he still a sought after candidate this week? Seems pretty quiet after last week.

I still think he's one of the league's better coaches. 7 year bowl streak... that's hard to do at Mississippi State.

Agree with this. Hard to recruit at MSU and Mullen is definitely doing more with less and finding those diamonds in the rough. He was just over-matched vs Georgia.

I'd take him at LSU and I'm pretty sure most UT fans feel the same.

We were just as overmatched against LSU too, according to the star givers. Most people don't understand the emotional and mental aspect of the game, because they never played this game. Mullen gets exposed every year, but not everyone else notices.

A 5-7 record should NEVER get a bowl invite.

I agree, but we got cheated out of going 6-6 in Mullen's first year, by the refs in the Houston game. So I felt like last year was a bit of a make up.

The rules are set up to reward coaches who might have more of an interest in their players graduating than others do. Hugh Freeze didn’t give one frick about any of his players except what they could do for him. That was evident at the time and even glaringly so now. Don’t be butt hurt that our academics got us a bowl invite while your players continued to frick up after football season was over.

Agreed. Just wish he would've said we want to kick to start the game Saturday. Probably wouldn't have mattered much, but wouldve helped my feelings about it.

Mullen can preach consistency..He has done really well at State. He’s just never won a really big game over a team that finished highly ranked.

But what he has done at State is pretty remarkable. He would do great at LSU
