Thats slicker than cat shite.

Itll be great once they get the roof engineered out.

No wonder Benz ditched the dump that is the superdome. Ugliest fricking eyesore in football. Its literally steeped in shite.

That's the GHSA wall. Everything on there is Georgia High School Football stuff.

Atlanta actually gets some really nice fall weather. Much more so than Dallas.

How many days in Atlanta, GA, between late August and January, will it be temperate enough outside to open the roof and the glass walls and still have everyone inside be comfortable

Most of October - November I'd guess. Also, it's the home stadium of the MLS team, so it will be open for most of their games from March-May, even into mid-June. Average high temps in Atlanta in the 60s-70s in March, April, May, October, November.

I agree, I think it's a bit ridiculous. Either be in or out, I don't like the small opening, but to each his own I guess.

And I personally guarantee the lights will work when it hosts the Super Bowl

Saints fans are so pissy that Atlanta has an awesome stadium

Throw in some chop blocks and you gonna have yourself a Marietta Street Hoedown.

Oh, I'm completely expecting VOLS to eek out an ugly win and lose half our defense for the season in the process

I think I read that they won't renew their deal with the SuperDome, but I think it's still got a little bit left on it, so they will be the same name for a while.

It's cool and it should be the Jerryworld of the next 5-10 years along with LA and LV once they come on line. Santa Clara totally missed the boat, IMO.

But I agree on the pinhole opening. Other thoughts:

1) It seems like it'll be very dark for afternoon games.
2) Interested to see how the sightlines for the screen are. Hopefully it's genuinely really good and not gimmicky and hard to watch.
3) I think the stadium will look better once the Dome is down and it just kind of stands alone.

Yes it'll be 2-3 seasons that they both have the Mercedes Benz as a sponsor and then the MB deal with the Superdome expires.

I guess they can call it the Mitch Landrieu Reparations Dome. Only seems fair.

Yea, what a hatchet job they did on that place. From building it way out where they did to their traffic situation to the stadium itself......just a totally swing and a miss.

Yep, that was always my thought from the start. From the pictures it seems like it will be pretty sweet, but only getting in there will tell the story.

If it is as well done as SunTrust Park is then I will be really happy.

So Mercedes is sponsoring both the Falcons and Saint's stadiums?
MBUSA (the shell company that buys the cars from MBUSI - the shell company that manufactures the vehicles in Tuscaloosa - and then resells them to the dealerships...it's a complicated tax deal related to tariffs and trade zones) moved its headquarters from NJ to Atlanta, which is, I think, the reason behind them moving their stadium branding to Atlanta. Plus, it's closer to the manufacturing facility.

It's odd geographically, though, because the manufacturing plant itself is kind of in the buffer zone between Falcons and Saints territory.

I assume that they sponsored the Super Dome because Benson is a Daimler AG dealer?

I can honestly say I can't believe they very well may get it finished by the game. They've been busting arse this summe

I heard the construction crew was working a crazy schedule, something like 28 days on and 3 days off. No way they wouldn't finish.

They literally didn't finish it in time.
