With all of the hype surrounding this weekend's big #1-vs.-#2 3-game stretch, does anyone have any memories of the A&M-LSU baseball series? Looks like they've had a lot of big games over the last 25 years:

1989 NCAA Central Regional (Aggies were ranked #1)
1991 NCAA South Regional (Tigers finished ranked #1)
1993 NCAA College World Series (Tigers finished ranked #1)
2004 NCAA Baton Rouge Super Regional

I'm still scarred from '89. For real. It was one of the most disappointing days, in regards to sports-related disappointment, in my life.

Didn't Walker hit a granny to seal the '93 game?

Between our baseball history, us ousting them in the 2006 NCAAT (on a somewhat controversial 3-pointer), and us continually embarrassing them in football, I can understand why they hate us so much.

1989 NCAA Baseball Regional at College Station, TX. A&M had only lost 5 games all season, winning 58. The aggies needed only one win over LSU to advance to Omaha. LSU took the first game 13-5. The second game went into extra innings and saw LSU take a 5-4 win to advance. aggies were crushed.

The next year was the beginning of LSU hosting 16 regionals in a row.

I remember one time aggy came into alex box ranked #2, and LSU (who was ranked #1) beat the gay out of them all 3 games.

listened to 89 on the radio late into the night for Garrity's double off the wall
was at 91 regional, that was LSU's year, they were dominant
watched tape delayed version of 93 CWS game when LSU fell behind and they skipped ahead and Walker and LSU pulled it out
was at 04 super when LSU fell behind in first game and stormed back to win and take all the momentum, good thing LSU won in two games because they did not have the pitching to win game 3

I thought I remember there was some issue about Mitchell maybe not getting the shot off before the shot clock expired. But maybe I'm just making that up...

Best thing about that gif is that Foster isn't even LSU's starting outfielder now.

Yes they do. Butthurt Aggie fans. They want so bad to be dominant over another team like Texas has been to them for years and years. When they realize that it's just not in their nature, the suicide thoughts start. They will never dominate LSU in anything. Ever. And they know it.
