Now that we are only two weeks from the regular season being over, lets reminisce on Mizzou's historic start to the season.
The Yankee tigers started off hot, coming out at 10-1
They soon progressed to a 16 game winning streak
An already impressive win streak increased to 20 wins. A very impressive task for any baseball team
With the longest current win streak in college baseball at the time, its only appropiate to celebrate, of course.
With all that winning, Mizzou, for some reason couldn't manage to break the top 50 for average baseball attendance. Actually, they were dead last in the SEC and a whopping 81st in the nation. It's hard to imagine nobody wanted to watch one of the best baseball teams in the nation.
But, it's only natural for teams that are on top to have haters. For instance, Section225 did not have faith that the mighty Tigers up North had
But have no fear, because Mizzou athletics is about to become the GOAT in the big 3, as you can see here from JesusQuintana post
With the season winding down, lets just take a look at the SEC East rankings why don't we?
Looks like Mizzou has taken a hard, downward turn for the worst once SEC ball came to town. Hopefully, for the sake of their dignity, Mizzou will be able to bounce back these last couple series and get some much needed series wins.
I just wanted to 'member on this important topic just to see how Mizzou has been doing lately. :memberberry:
Oh, and shoutout to the teams that are still battling for the top spot in the conference.

It's kind of like LSU football. Preseason ranking sky high and their fans puff out their chests and crow and they go off the rails as the season goes ow.

Mizzu needs to be traded back to the big 10
Kansas would be a better fit in the sec

And expect the same from LSU football this year.

Dores in stealth mode sneaking their way up as we get closer to Hoover

Who would want to watch college baseball when we have the real-thing x2?

Remember when LSU fans didn't engage in coitus with their relatives?
Me neither...

Nah, unlike Mizzou, LSU actually has hardware that backs up their talk.

For UT to make the SEC tournament they will have to be ahead of either Georgia or Missouri in the East.
I called my shot on February 15, 2017.
Called it...
Right now, UT is 2 games behind MIZZOU.

My only prediction...Tennessee will beat Missouri on 5/20 in extra innings to break their tie-breaker and qualify for the SEC tourney...and will then get blown out by whoever they face and will watch the CWS from home.

Think you're referring to another SEC West school

You can do both you know.
Besides last time I was in St Louis at a Cardinals game the ticket (face) was 75 bucks and a hot dog plus a beer was around 40 bucks. Last time I was at a Yankees game the ticket was around 2,500 (thankfully free to me) to sit next to a bunch of wine and cheese Wall Street types who care less about the game but wanted to tell me about all their deals.
Much rather drink beer at The Cliff or get a grilled dog from some old fart like me at Dudy Noble. The older I get the more college games remind me of the fun I used to have at pro games growing up.

Couldn't a similar thing be said for Football? That's why you guys will never fit in here. Yankees gonna yank.

Didn't they have to come down from the original seat prices for the new Yankee Stadium? I remember all the hoopla about the recliner-like seats and the exhorbitant ticket prices.
You can tell I haven't been to NY in a minute

No. There is a big difference between 162 home dates for the cardinals and Royals combined than there is for college football which has Saturday to itself and the NFL which is predominantly played on 8 Sunday home games a year.
Shouldn't have to explain the difference but you guys are southerners so...

Reds are older than the Cards if memory serves.
