There needs to be a stat for dropped passes like era's in baseball. Not fair to the qb.
Zach is much better then that stat.

Alabama's star-studded offensive line held a 45-pound-a-man advantage over Western Kentucky's defensive front. But the visitors from the Sun Belt Conference still sacked McCarron six times.
Quanterus Smith had three of the sacks.
"We didn't do a very good job in pass protection, having six sacks and three or four of those were just guys getting beat," Saban said.
Good start for McCarron. But if he keeps getting hit like this, it might be a long year.

Agree with this. Didn't see the game but six sacks plus others misc hits is playing with fire.
Didn't watch the game, but was hoping the backup Qb would get a lot of time this game. Guess he didn't.

He held the ball too long a couple times. Couple of others was bad protection. Some concern, but I think it'll get better.
Sims actually finished the game out. Woulda like for him to have played an entire quarter though. He threw a couple of passes and looked pretty decent. Again.. competition has to be taken into account.
