If you had a magic wand and one of the following players could be on your team this season, who would it be?

ESPN lists

#1 Mariota
#2 Winston
#3 Gurley

What do yall think?

I don't get the mariota fap fest.....sure he's good but damn I've watched them play and he doesn't look like the GOAT everyone says he is. Winston is 10x the qb he is.

Mariota.

Gurley is great but not worth passing over a great QB when we have a great RB already.
And Winston is a dumb shite rapist and I'm thankful he's not a gamecock.

Agree.

Winston rated higher than Gurley doesn't piss me off. I disagree, but it doesn't piss me off.

Mariota, if he was so good, why didn't he go to the NFL last year? He was eligible... or did he want to finish his degree in human studies maybe

Mariota played every game after the UCLA game on one leg. Also he wanted to finish his degree in General Science, not human studies, which he did this spring.

FWIW I thought Mariota was better than Jameis before the knee injury, and many experts around the country had him at the top of the Heisman watch.

ETA - Concerns I have with Mariota.

With the knee injury he missed some easy throws against Stanford early on that could have put us up 7-0, and possibly 14-0. That was really costly. I understand that not being able to plant and throw could make passes more errant but I doubt you can blame those misses on his knee. He also fumbled quite a few times after the knee injury, including a costly one in the Stanford game.

He also had a lower completion percentage last year than his freshman year. Some of this was because our WRs seemingly had some bad drops, but also cause he forced more passes from the pocket instead of scrambling. That last part should concern NFL teams.

tldr - IMO he was better than Jameis before the knee injury (which he suffered before the Stanford game) but I still have a few major concerns about him that I would like to see him address this season.

Would you rather have Jameis or Todd?

I think some of it was also due to Frost not knowing how to call a game. The plays were so redundant, it was as if he didn't study any film.

Hopefully we go further into the playbook this year and not run the same plays over and over. And every now and then a false snap might help. Last year vs Stanford Skov was already set and running at the LOS as soon as the ball was placed. False snap, and bam, offside or encroachment.

BTW, what does tl;dr mean?

Gurley.

Jameis Winston is a rapist who can barely speak English.

Marcus Mariota doesn't fit our system.
