Not ideal for Howland

Guess he didn't want to win 30+ games next year

His top two choices are Mizzou and Okie State according to sources.

Howland wouldn't let him transfer to an SEC school.

It is likely he will be forced to allow it considering the NCAA violations currently facing him from his last 2 seasons at UCLA and his first year at State regarding recruiting violations.

Thanks, that clears up a lot

Didn't he start for them last year?

Yes, every game. Howland wants him to play a stretch 4 Kegler wants to play the 2 & 3. Sucks.

He did some. He looked good at times and not so hot at others. I'm not sure whether he's coachable or not.

I don't know if State was a bad scheme fit for him but he never did look that great. It will hurt State next year because he would've started at the 4 but in the long run I doubt he develops into anything special. He doesn't really have a position in the college game.

There were times when MSU would have been better off with just a concrete block on the floor, so Peters could bounce the ball back to himself after picking up his dribble.
Some guys games and mentality just don't fit some schemes.
Good luck to the young man

College basketball is getting pretty stupid with transfers.

Sometimes you're better off recruiting guys who just want to play and do whatever they can to help the team win vs. the higher rated prospect who'd have the attitude of I'm going to play where I want when I want. College basketball is really turning into garbage. I'm about to the point I say ditch the sport and let's add a hockey team.

What's the deal with all the Mizzou fans and their butt hurt over Ben Howland? A couple months ago he was their guy and now they seem to have some sort of weird obsession about him and MSU basketball.
