SECN is having a depth chart draft and Spears chose Bert as his head coach to lead his team. Print the shirts hog fans.

Well both are former defensive linemen and seem to have a laid back personality. I could see them getting along.

If you were a lineman, offense or defense, Bert would be your pick too. Bert was a lineman, he loves the big guys in the trenches, and he treats them well. No wonder Spears picked him.

made it seem like analysts were picking teams based on depth charts and picking head coaches.
Arkansas doesn't have the best depth chart, nor the best coach, in the league. That's why it was odd. Perhaps there's more informaiton we havent' been privy to.

Sorry. McElroy and Spears were essentially fantasy drafting their teams. At the end Spears chose Bert to coach his team and McElroy chose Saban.

If you're coaching a team of handpicked all-stars, I think Bert is a really good choice. He clearly gets a lot out of his players relative to their talent level. Unfortunately for him, he will probably always be at a talent disadvantage to schools like LSU, Bama, and UGA. Maybe he'll start to recruit better, and that talent disadvantage will lessen. Who knows.
