Looks like the real deal and has great awareness and vision for a young qb. Driskel on the other hand looks like the second qb Fla highly recruited that busts.

I have been impressed by Manziel. Hope the Florida defense is pretty bad.

He already looks better than anything I've seen in Baton Rouge the last 4 years. He has played well, well the whole team has too

I actually think he will be the best player on many fields this year.

I like the way he, Trey Williams, Ben Malena, Christine Michael, Ryan Swope and our OL have played this game so far. Our defense has done pretty well except for that first series they played.

I hope JFF stays this good. We'll see.

Manziel is an athlete and looks a lot more polished than I thought he would. He's going to be tough to handle.

The guy's ball handling is horrific and half of his throws are picks against a good defense. Not impressed.

If Manziel can work on his passing game a little more, he will be scary.

ETA: More scary than he already is.

Yeah not saying the kid is a great qb or passer yet. But has nice awareness in the pocket and you can tell when a qb just has it. Then Driskel takes the field and doesn't find the open man during his reads. A couple sacks wrs where wide open.

Definitely scared me with a few throws that first half. Had not #8 Thomas Johnson made that one-handed snag or tipped it instead, easy pick. And there were other chances.

But all that said, it's still his first game and he's 16/20 with no turnovers and only one sack (which I mention because of how many hurries there've been)

Manziel the man though and looks to be for a few years.

Watch the ball when he leaves the pocket.

Granted florida's D looks bad. Even the scheme looks bad. Many times they were in a 3-2-6 defense and when in the 3-4 they don't have the outside rushers to set the edge.

He looks good but that statement is ridiculous

He's a friggin freshman man, the best player on the field, and you don't know if he'll attempt those throws on better D's. Hell, how about this crazy possibility...he improves with experience and age.
