Don't want to scare Bama fans, but Payton Manning mentioned recently that he'd do anything to see Tenn winning SEC titles. And he just might. Manning may or may not coach, more likely recruit Tenn's next coach. Bet he knows Gruden well.

I'm in, Tigers hate Alabama.

If UT wants to hire someone with no head coach experience, or assistant coaching experience for that matter, well, OK.

I've heard the same rumors. He's itching to get back into football.

In only 3 years Manning would establish a team that would rival alabama. FACT

I've been very impressed with his previous coaching gigs, you may well be right.

PM took tea bagging to a whole new level during his days at UTk. I bet he could give JG some pointers.

Dabo would be there then.
Also, did you even think that they would realign the divisions and make Tenn LSUs rival?
Come on you know the story..

Imagine thinking someone who's already coached 13 seasons in Indy and 4 in Denver has no experience

I don't know how many times it's been proven that elite players translate to poor coaches. Like 350.

But whatever, continue on.

He’s definitely smart enough.

I think he would make a damn good coach, regardless of his lack of coaching experience. He was basically a coach on the field his entire career. Everything he touches turns to gold.

Peyton is way to intellectual for college football, it would frustrate him way to much. The guy ran his own meetings in the NFL.

Playing and coaching are two different things, and I know UT loves him, but there is no way in hell they will hire him as a head coach with no coaching experience. And there is no way in hell he would take a job he is clearly not qualified for.

Imagine if he sucked dog shite as a coach and the Vols were forced to turn on their favorite son.

Please hire him.
