suck is not the right word. He was okay.

But I heard he didn't go to class bc he asssumed he was going pro. So he wasn't qualified to play next year at State anyway

He really doesn't, he doesn't like being a PG and simply isn't a guard. Kid won't be successful until he's ok with not being the star of the show.

He shot sub 40%, didn't rebound, didn't pass the ball well, and got points with volume shooting. He sucked compared to expectations.

Maybe, but I doubt it. He just transferred from under the guy who produced Westbrook. I'm ok with this, Stans would have given him all he wanted and that's exactly how the program was ran into the ground, I'm glad Howland has the sack and isn't bending.

Still would've liked to have had him at Kentucky.

I'm interested in seeing where he lands. If he did have grade issues, no major program will bother with him and he can't go JUCO since he declared (their rules are different and he's ineligible there now). I could see Stansbury possibly taking a chance on him at WKU.

Malik just isn't a good ball handler. I wish him well, but this is better for us. I think we'll have better team chemistry without him.

He's transferring from the guy who had Westbrook defer to Darren Collison. I think state will be better off with what they have coming in and no one player should be above a coach that established, but howland did not exactly use Westbrook correctly. That ucla team should have easily won the national championship that year with Westbrook and Kevin love

Malik struggled to play point guard.
The position he will have to play if he wants to rise to the next level.
Newman wants to score but he couldn't finish at the rim. He showed flashes of his shooting ability in a few games but he is undersize at SG.

Here's the story: they met with howland. Wanted to be promised he would be the pg. howland told them he would have an opportunity to win the position. But guys would play in their best spot to help the team win. Daddy did not like the answer so both sides decided to go different directions.

Of course. It's sad when parents get involved to the point that they're a detriment to their kid's career. It's like Daniel Orton's dumbass Dad suggesting he should've gotten more PT than Demarcus Cousins at UK and pushing him to declare to go to the draft. Just sad.

At least it isn't grades. It sounded like he had done the Ben Simmons.
