What? Yes, he would be able to play. JUCO does not have D1 transfer rules.
I don't understand it, but they were talking about it last night on twitter. Sitting out before JUCO, that is.

The NJCAA rules you ineligible to transfer once you declare for the draft.

Kids transfer the JUCO route all the time to get immediate playing time and not sitting out for a year if the go D1 transfer route. A lot of kids transfer to JUCO and then to another D1 program.

He pulled out of the draft with the new rules.

Honestly, we are going to have a damn good team this year whether or not Malik comes back, so at this point it's just icing on the cake for me if he does.
Depends on whether or not he comes back all in or if he comes back with an attitude over playing time and how he's used (not saying he has any sort of attitude issues, just making a statement).

But Newman can't because he declared for the draft and came back.

?@AdamZagoria
Just to put any Malik Newman to JUCO rumors to rest, he would have to go Cali JC w/ no scholarships since the NJCAA rules him ineligible

So Europe or State??

I think those options make the most sense because I can't see him wanting to sit out a year.
I think the Scout reporter for MSU is talking to Malik's dad again today. So maybe we will learn more then.

Yeah hope they are listening to the right people and make the best decision for him. I hate to see situations like De'Runnya Wilson. That isn't a shot at State it happens every where I really hate to see that stuff happens.

He already did, he talked to Horatio this morning and said he is returning to State. I posted the update on page two of the thread, Gene tweeted it earlier, I'm just too lazy to link.

I know he talked to him yesterday. I meant he is talking to him again today according to Robertson.

Goodman beginning the pivot to cover his arse.

I am sure Malik is very eager to sit out a full year after transferring. Goodman is being had and is too stupid to realize it.

Good for Malik
He can have a big year on the court , show that his body can hold up and get drafted in the 1st or second round next summer.
A question for MSU fans... How much did Malik cost ? I've never really known specifics about the price of blue chips in basketball because OM has never been in on big time basketball prospects... We might start in the near future though... TIA

Sadly now days if they are getting clicks I don't know that they care if it is wrong.

So the coach after Kennedy? Definitely possible. Would be a shame to waste such a nice stadium.
