Agree wasted by a stubborn Miles and Cameron. He also has issues catching and if you dissect his film you'll see why he went so low.

Dupre was a rather disappointing player - great length and vertical, but no real want or desire.

Obviously he was in a Les Miles offense, but often when he did get his opportunities he squandered them. Enough times to start to take notice of it. You can have all the athleticism and coaching in the world, but if the ball hits you in the hands you gotta catch it. Especially if it's not even contested.

Look at Jarvis Landry - dude had incredible hands and toughness. Two catches come to mind with him:

vs Arky '13 when he dove over the defender and snatched it from in front of him. Truly an exceptional play by Landry

and @ UGA '13 when he caught the ball with like 3 defenders within 5 yards of him, helmet comes off but still hung on to the ball.

You'll never see Dupre give that kind of effort

Beckham and Jarvis Landry.

You make catches, you help the offense move the chains. Elite wrs go and get the ball. He doesn't do that. Les has had several outstanding wrs in the NFL.

Not sure why you are , this past recruiting class the razorbacks actually beat out both Tulane and McNeese State for a pair players.

If the NFL thought Malachi was a first round talent, he would have been drafted in the first round.

The OP was simply going on what Tiger fans have told us for several years.

he can't block.

Wrong. Do you know what offense he played in in HS? He blocks just fine

Both guys that would have been drafted higher if they had played in a CFB balanced offense.

if Dupre was a first round talent he would have got open more often and not dropped so many passes.

he was the perfect example of being rated on one's measurables. not a bad system but he didn't live up because of other factors. it's a matter of opinion what those factors are and i'm not going to trash the kid.

football, like life is filled with underachievers and overachievers. . . ..

Besides the offense has our receivers blocking instead of catching.

Wanna know how I know you didn't read his scouting report or see him at the combine?

He needed another year.

no it didn't. one of the reasons we ran so much is because he couldn't get open or hang on to the ball when thrown his way. LSU has had tons of WR's drafted.

so much for facts. also, LSU's WR corps wasn't as talented as you aggies. hell, to have Reynolds, and 3 other NFL quality receivers and squander them like y'all did had to be frustrating.
