ESPN

The Missouri men's basketball team must vacate all 23 wins from the 2013-14 season as a result of a 19-month investigation by the university and the NCAA into the program and former coach Frank Haith.

Among the other sanctions levied against the program by the university: a one-year postseason ban, one scholarship loss in 2015-16 and another no later than the 2017-18 season, and a $5,000 fine to be paid to the NCAA.

Well, since they have not beaten Kentucky yet, not like that was too terrible.

So, what happens with Frank Haith? Does he get off Scott free? Isn't he still coaching at some obscure school?

Not really, basketball already sucked anyway. They weren't going anywhere this year. But if you feel like reading the same regurgitated information over and over then knock yourself out.

He's at Tulsa. And though he has now had three jobs that have lead to two NCAA investigations, he will not suffer any penalties.

Sorry, I was busy working today. Just saw it on ESPN.

On a side note, what do you have to do to just get a $5,000 fine from the NCAA?

That seems dirt cheap?

Didn't a lot of people raise concerns over Haith's less than stellar reputation from his time at Miami when he was hired at Mizzou.

Now we all know why he bounced to Tulsa.

one scholarship loss in 2015-16

So how does that work? Do they have to tell some kid he now owes last semester's tuition?

Snore.

This affects nothing of significance in any way.

Maybe they will levy a steeper fine later. If the infractions were that severe I would think there would be a much higher fine. I dunno. Good thing Haith got the hell out of Dodge when he had the chance.

That or setting up UNC for some nominal fine soon then using Mizzou as the example. NCAA is some crafty devils.

Yeah, I'm sure North Carolina will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

I thought Louisville was brought into the ACC by UNC to be their penalty bitch?
