It has been great reading this thread all day.

The melt from either an LSU loss or MSU loss will be epic.

Extremely deep at LB???

Two of the three listed as backups are sophs that played in less than half of state's games last year. The third listed backup hasn't seen the field yet.

Last years state Dline was legit. It went two deep with quality and experience. The '15 Dline not so much.

Starters are solid. State lists six players as backup dlinemen on it's depth chart. Four of those six haven't played yet for the bulldogs.

They really won't be that experienced come the second game of the season.

MLB K Beckwith (JR) returning starter. In line for postseason honors. One of the two best inside LBs in the SEC.

OLB L Louis (SR) three year starter

OLB D Jones (SR) first year starter. One of the fastest LBs in the SEC. Was second team in '13 and '14. Made his mark as a special team demon the last three years.

Backups are two Jrs and a SO. The three combined have 45+ games under their belt.

Mullen obviously wanted to keep them a secret. That's why he let his defense finish dead last in the conference against the pass last season.

Its really only about 75%, however, that is in the distant past.

ETA: and when you look at it since 2000...damn its depressing.

Just because you have a bunch of players at any given position doesn't mean you are deep there. If that was the case then every football team would be deep at just about every position on the roster.
