I hate that if you make threads asking about a team, it's deemed as trolling or being insincere insecure/variations of the spelling of scared on here and Yes WillyT we lost to Clemson so you don't have post it.
I was just wondering why are some of you guys so confident. To be clear I'm not talking about being optimistic(every fan should hope for the best)
Even as Alabama fan we understand there are honeymoon periods. Canada is a great hire, but I really would like to see him against SEC elite defenses before I give the stamp of approval.(Same thing with Sark).
LSU one of few teams that can match Alabama first 22, but opening up the passing game 35 to 40 throws can lead to making the defense wear down quicker than normal. Whether it's quick 3 and out or quick scores. Despite Alabama success we have struggle with getting into high paced games with Elite Offenses even with our depth the last few years.
What do you expect from Canada leading the Offense year 1? If the offense improves but LSU loses a few close high scoring game, would you guys as Fans still be happy?

We have plenty of talent and two great coordinators. I was at the bowl game and we made the Heisman winner a non factor.
We also have a very tough schedule and has Coach O improved since Ole Miss?
Plenty of questions but like most fans I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming season.

1. Only Bama has out recruited LSU in the sec the last 4 years
2. We have the best DC in the conference
3. We have the best OC in the conference
4. Our HC will let the above do all the coaching
5. Best RB in the conference
6. EASY first half schedule. Will be undefeated going into November

Sounds like Tennessee in 2016. Will LSU be the next champions of life? Actually come to think of it, it sounds like Tennessee in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, etc. Guess I owe an apology to LSU fans.

UGA did pretty well.

Damn right we do

Let's let him call plays in a game first shall we?

Not sure why that's a confidence builder, but ok.

Arguable, but agree.

Our road schedule next year is ridiculous. Nothing easy about it

I think it's mainly the change in offensive philosophy that has us more confident. Still gonna need better QB play though.

Yes but only 2 tough road games. UT and Bama are in November

My biggest worry is the same as last year. Where did we address our OL? The past two years Bama has realigned the LOS with a constant push backwards. They don't even need to blitz when there are at least 4 linemen in the backfield waiting on a back to get the handoff.

It's all coordinators these days.

Auburn made your OL look like trash too and we aren't Bama DL good. Lucky that Guice/LF could make a couple plays to make you competitive
I'd seriously worry about that.

I think being in shotgun and dump off to our TE's would help more in those situations.
The way we should have come at Bama was to play the deep game. Our WR's are plenty good against their Db's, but our online couldn't protect long enough for Etling to get some air under it with his already weak deep ball.

There is no actual proof of 2,3 and 4. Literally the exact same thing was said almost verbatim by your entire fan base when they hired that complete buffoon Cam Cameron.

Canada was the only OC to be nominated for the Broyles award last year and did better against Clemson than Sarkisian

It's just idiotic to argue aranda isn't the best

Then why wasn't he a Broyles Award finalist like Pruitt? That seems to be a major part of the argument for Canada.

Do you think Pruitt calls his own defense of his own design.
