Steele’s salary is $300,000 less than what Chavis made. That drops LSU’s combined staff pay to $5.107 million. LSU paid its staff $5.499 million last year, the most in the nation. That figure, though, includes additional revenue. Alabama was second nationally in staff pay last year at $5.213 million, according to USA Today.

The kicker:

Another difference in Steele’s contract: He’s the only coordinator not to be given a three-year contract in several years.

"It’s not exactly a shock that Arian Foster stated during an interview Friday that he had accepted money from boosters during his time playing running back at Tennessee; in a documentary that aired in 2013, Foster acknowledged as much."

we just don't have it down quite as well as y'all do.
