Damn good coach, he's got a National Title, he came close to another one. For the first few years of Saban's tenure he gave Bama some problems. He's a great recruiter and most importantly he's a great person. I think LSU should move on, it's clear he won't win another national title so any contender in their right mind would move on to try something else. But still, I like Les Miles.

One of the greats in SEC history, IMHO

Les is one of the finest men to ever prowl a sideline.

Great coach. Great human being. Family man. Romantic.

Saban and the Bama mystique broke him. C'est la vie in the SEC.

If I had defeated a division rival 5 or 6 times in a row I don't think I'd want them changing coaches either.

Like I said, they should move on. But I don't want people to turn on Les because of this whole ordeal, he deserves a standing ovation for his time at LSU.

Great guy, I feel lucky that we had him.

But all good things must come to an end.

I think he will go down as a legend in SEC lore when its all said and done.

Agreed. I fear I'm watching my alma mater make an epic mistake and there's nothing I can do about it.

This is what the stupid boosters want so I guess this is what the stupid boosters get.

fricking bullshite.

Will miss seeing Miles if this comes to pass. Hell of a man.

On the bright side, I think he would KILL it on ESPN Gameday.

Agree 100%. I'll miss him and he deserves a statue at LSU. It's just time.

I know LSU fans are frustrated but if you really hate Les Miles then you are just a miserable person. Man is a class act.

Unfortunately there is just no graceful retirement in big time coaching.

There are some miserable fricks in our fanbase to be sure but most of us feel like the kid in Ole Yeller. Yeller was a great dog but it's just time. We still love him and will cherish him.

It is sad really. No pleasant way for the Alpha lion to ever go out...

Well put. Les is a great person and definitely has entertained the SEC the past 11 seasons. I hope he gets to coach this weekend and gets a great sendoff from the fanbase--win or lose.
