LSU folks, what's with the exaggerated fake hand off thing WRs do in motion?

I get the general idea of it, but I've never seen anyone else do it. Where did Canada learn that?

The jet sweep motion, it's supposed to make the defense defend the entire field (take a guy outside the box/get defenses eye's looking elswhere).
There's a good idea behind it, we could hand it off more to make defenses respect it more. It's generally a big hitter type play.
Edit - WRs have 19 carries for 106 yards this year, 5.6 per carry (but generally it's more a boom or bust type play, loss of a couple or 10 yard gain)

Yea, we ran it a lot with Kiffin. Aubrun used to run it a lot. I've just never seen it implemented that way with the quick bend over fake handoffs. It makes sense, I was just curious if it came from a certain coaching tree because I've never seen it.

I mean, as long as it doesn't mess you up it actually makes sense. However, teams have to first fear the jet sweep before they'll react to the fake off it.
