With all the talk about Fournette getting a heavy load, in the case that he gets seriously injured (God forbid), what kind of player do you have in Derrius Guice?

He's an elite back that would start for 99% of the teams in the country.

He runs ANGRY and violent and does not like to go down. He runs like someone is going to kill his family if he is brought down.

He is also a very good receiver and has great speed. Youtube him. Or some fellow LSU fan post some gifs.

If god forbid LF went down, we'd still have a future NFL starter as our RB.

In the top 3 back up RBs in the SEC with Kamara and Michel IMO (no order).

Incredible speed, great elusiveness and strength. Should be used much more often this season, and if I were an LSU fan, I would love to see him line up in the slot every now and then to get him on the field as often as possible.

Guice would be a feature back at most other schools in the SEC outside of Georgia and maybe Tennesee, honestly. If not for Fournette being in front of him, he would probably become a top 5 all time rusher at LSU at the end of his career.

He's really good. Some of our fan base is saying he's just as good as Fournette. I am not one of those fans.

We would obviously lose a step if LF goes down but Guice is about as good a true sophomore running back as there is in the country. I would say that he would be a starter at most schools and will get significant playing time this year even with a healthy Fournette. He will be an absolute beast next year.

Maybe like 75-80%. He's really good, but you're saying there's only one other team in the country he wouldn't start for. He definitely wouldn't start for FSU, Stanford, UGA, OU, and a couple other teams.

Honestly wish he'd go down a little easier (TWSS). Afraid he'll get hurt fighting for that extra inch

Kid can start anywhere in the conference except Tennessee or Georgia (if Chubb is healthy)

He has incredible balance and strength. Not quite as fast as LF but still has better than average speed. I think his 40 is around 4.5.

Maximum effort guy. Fights for every inch which is nice to see at LSU rather than getting what you can get and go down with ball security being the #1 piece. Built like a rock but has some shake and bake. Very good top end speed and vision.

Dynamic runner, I worry about him fumbling because he refuses to go down.

He is a good one. Explosive, strong, hard to bring down. Would play for any School in the nation and would be the starter at most.
