Leland. I prayed that you will some day find happiness & be happy in your own skin.

I went to his camps growing up. He's kind and laid back, but turns total alpha when he needs it.

One of those people that fills up a room by walking in.

Still haven't seen Shaq and Dale, I'm never home when it's on, suppose I should check it out now.

As personable as anyone you could meet. A friend of mine was eating breakfast on Sunday after game day a few years back. Saw him and Bruce Hornsby at a table. He sends me a pick of the 2, asking who they were ( he knew I would know lol). I quickly responded, my favorite coach... A few minutes later he and his wife were taking pictures with them and hanging out. Now he wants to go to some LSU basketball games. It was awesome. Dale is King lol

Daddy Dale is the best. I've had the pleasure of picking his brain multiple times. My family impacted his life in a very positive way back in the early 90's and he's been a family friend ever since.

Dale's story would be a great movie. He absolutely lived his life to the fullest; I can't imagine he has anything left on his bucket list.

I mean, hell- he not only traveled all over the world, he would come back with recruits to the program.

it wasn't really Dales fault for how the program ended up being left. Lester Earl and Roy williams are at fault for that. They both deserve to rot in hell for what they did to tarnish daddy dale. The ncaa was looking for a reason to screw him after his comments about them being nazis.

Didn't they have Shaq,Stanley Roberts and Chris Jackson on the same team? Was that '90?

How'd they end up?

I know the team they had in 86 I believe upset GT and made it to the final four.

I took a customer service call about 10 years ago from a guy in Minot, S.D. I told him I was in Louisiana, and we all know about Minot because of Dale Brown. The guy said, "We all know and love Dale up here. Great guy." Cool moment.

Like any human, Dale had his flaws, but he's left an amazing legacy of himself both on and off the court, and that says a lot about the man.
