Still Had an overall record under .500 as a HC after going 12-4 in his two gifted interim gigs.

Do they give out trophies or rings for having a better recruiting class than Florida?

I heard Ole Miss could put LSU in the mix cause LSU' s recruiting of Leo Lewis. I'm telling you Ole Miss is out to get everybody.

You Sir are a troll. I dont recall Ole Miss having top 10 classes like Freeze did when O was Coach there. He may have got a top player from the region but nothing like freeze was doing with that Ole Miss bribe money.

Nope. But I would be willing to bet some money that LSU beats Florida in Florida next year and also has a better overall record.

So, everyone should have been ecstatic when Saban and Miles were hired, right? But they weren't. This is how it works. I don't have a problem with people being skeptical. The ones I have an issue with are those who only show up at the first sign of trouble in order to post "I told you so" and disappear again when it turns out to be nothing. Time will tell. So far, I have nothing to complain about.

Maybe Florida needs to start cheating at recruiting because McElwain is terrible at it

I mean, besides OM, USC, and Miami, no schools that Coach O has coached have been in trouble with the NCAA.

I am fine with comparing rings/trophies with Florida over the last 10 years. National or conference.

So you want to compare Coach O's trophies and rings against Florida's trophies and rings over the past 10 years? Okay, compare.

I was 18 when Les was hired, and was off playing college soccer, so obviously didn't go to LSU and wasn't invested as much as I am now. With Saban, I was 13 and more worried about HS problems. This is the first HC change I've been an adult for. I wanted Les gone after the OM clock debacle in '09, but still supported LSU through his final years. O showed me nothing Les wouldn't have done the rest of this past season, and in his two interim gigs he was handed elite talent that just needed an attitude adjustment. He doesn't bring anything to the table that I feel will take LSU to the next level. I like Aranda and Canada, but they are both young coordinators on their way up that will more than likely be gone within 2 years. Changing your offense and/or defense every couple years because your coordinators are moving on is a terrible way to run a program. If I was confident Aranda and Canada would be here 5 years, my feelings would change. If you read Meat Market, you would see the way O got the LSU job is VERY similar to how he got the OM job(the binder, Pete Carroll calling the AD, etc.). Les just got fired, and needed to be, for losing 3 games a year, and I just don't see O doing better than that.

Well, Coach O has been full-time coach at LSU for 1 game. And he got a trophy....
