The man wants to coach again and he would probably jump at the LSU job. What say you?

My sources say he's coming as OC

Does Steve Spurrier make Gumbo?
if not F him
if not F him

Hmm.. idk. His lack of recruiting kinda scares me. But I'd probably take him over Orgeron.

I think LSU fans are more worried about their coordinators these days.
Everyone knows head coach is just a figurehead anyway.

IDK if I would honestly.
CEO has been very outspoken (more than most will credit him) about his failure at Ole Miss. He knows he botched that, diagnosed what the problem was, and says he's fixed it. We'll see.
If he can hire good coordinators, stay out of their way, and recruit and steer the program, he may be everything we want in a Coach. LSU seems more than willing to pay whatever it takes for him to get the best coordinators.
Spurrier went down at and stepped away from a program he had complete control over. I greatly admire what he did in his prime, but part of me feels like OBC would be better suited as a commentator than a coach now.

This.
Dave Aranda showed the kind of impact a top coordinator can have. I'm confident LSU will have a top defense every year with him around.
Now just bring in a solid OC to run the offense.

Spurrier is beyond done, no

Spurrier can't recruit in today's game. Or refuses to. Either way.

Todays spurrier? No. years ago? frick to the yes. I can't believe LSU passed up on him in the 90s.
Posted on 11/29/16 at 2:35 pm to scrooster
hell no. We turned him down when he was in his prime so we definitely don't want him now that he's elderly

Would be not only a disaster for us, but the rest of the SEC as well. You think Bama is getting the top talent now? I can only imagine it when Spurrier stopped recruiting LA and all the talent flowed to Bama from the Louisiana and Texas area

No bc at least with O the fridge will be stocked when he flames out

This is an honest question cuz idk the numbers, but what has aranda done to get such high praise? LSU always has good defense
