LSU Fans, would y'all be interested in a trade?

Les Miles for Mullen? Would you take this offer?
Posted on 9/18/16 at 1:36 pm to BeerSandwich
Nope, Mullen is dirty and a horrible human.
Posted on 9/18/16 at 1:38 pm to BeerSandwich
No thanks. I'll keep Miles at least until the end of the regular season.
If we finish 10-2 or better, I'd be in favor of extending him.
The last thing I want to see happen is Les going to A&M and them kicking our asses four or five years in a row.

Based on what exactly?
I know Jeremy Foley hates him with a passion, but I haven't heard or read anything that would suggest he's in the same league as Petrino or Sean Payton.

K... Is a fan wanting to see how a season plays out before making a decision about a potential coaching change irrational or something?
What about it is priceless?

Gus and miles should swap, that would be hallarious.

Come on Bacon... Inquiring minds want to know!!

For Arkansas fans perhaps. I don't think either LSU or Auburn fans would find much humor in such a swap.

That you think 10 wins is even a remote possibility.

If you say so...
There isn't one game on our schedule that is a guaranteed loss. There are four or five toss-ups, and one probable loss (Bama, but not as probable as most assume).
I don't think it's that farfetched that LSU wins 8 of the 9 remaining games.
Florida just lost their quarterback, Auburn hasn't looked impressive, Mizzou is still bad, Ole Miss is average...
Arkansas, Bama and A&M are the three toughest games remaining. If we win two of those and beat the teams we should beat that would put us at 10-2.
We played like absolute dogshit against a top-10 Wisconsin team on the road and still only lost by two and were in position to kick a winning field goal at the end before Harris earned his spot on the bench.
Our defense is the best we've had in years. Our offense under Etling looks the best we've had since 2013 (when we won 10 games with a vastly inferior defense).
You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is wrong.

The whole premise behind dumping Less is for an upgrade, not downgrade.

Defense still needs to improve for LSU. It's been good but not great.

You should change your handle to "drive-by posting."
You come in here, make an audacious statement like that and then drive away from the scene and off into the night.
If you're gonna pull shite like that you need to elaborate and back up your statement.
Several posters have asked you for specifics. Why the crickets?

Maybe not "great", but pretty damn good. The only reason Miss State even scored a touchdown is because our offense turned the ball over twice and they got an onsides kick recovered in our territory.
They had like 55 total rushing yards. We had an excellent pass rush that produced several sacks late in the game to put it away and seal the victory.
Ross and Gray made some awesome plays on the ball against pretty good coverage.
I think this defense is really good and could be great down the stretch if they can stay healthy.

You are losing to Arkansas and Bama for sure. That's 3 losses. Ole Miss very likely. That's 4. aTm probable. That's 5. You should beat Auburn and Mizzou, but they could both beat you. Lose those two and that's 7.
Not entirely out of the question you end with a losing record, but it's beyond the realm of possibility that you finish "10-2 or better". That's laughable.
7-5 is the most reasonable prediction. Maybe you avoid a slip up and win a game you shouldn't and get to 8-4 but that's probably best case scenario. LSU simply isn't that good.

quote:Nice crystal ball you have there. I'll wait until they play. We haven't played well yet, and still 2-1.

quote:have you seen their second half play? You seriously want to pick them, knowing LSU is going to force-feed Fournette the ball?
Ole Miss very likely.

aTm probable. That's 5.

quote:This is a better team than some of Miles' past teams, and his lowest win total has been 8. We've found a better QB than we've had the past couple of years. Defense has good players in a new scheme, should only get better as the year goes on.

Like Les or not, I think it's more likely we win 10-11 games than have a losing season.

Sorry an LSU fan impregnated your wife.
Make sure to leave her at home when y'all come to BR or you'll be raising two illegitimate kids.
