Their whole team has become good, not great. They'll blame whatever, but it is what it is. The oline let LF get his dick knocked into the dirt and they act like it's only one game. Lol. They are falling behind under miles. I'm glad they've kept him.

I agree with this at certain positions .. Not all though.
Ole Miss has arguably had a deeper and better Dline than LSU the past 2 seasons ... Haven't been able to say that in ~ 25 years.

The move to a 3-4 and addition of Valentine will help the run defense. They were light at DE (chavis design) and it hurt against power running teams. Now those small ends are big linebackers and the DL is bigger. Valentine will be one of the best noseguards around.

Seriously though, LSU's problem right now is that they have a mercenary coaching staff.
This happens just before the head coach gets canned quite often. Coach sees the writing on the wall and starts trying to "fix" things by bringing in new coordinators. Eventually though the coach gets canned except for in the rare cases when he brings in a coordinator that captures lightning in a bottle. Not gonna happen for LSU this year either.
Gus Malzahn is headed down the same road.
