And for the record Tom Herman will fail miserably at Texas. He would have been better off taking the LSU job rather than holding us ransom for the Texas job.

I think he would have failed at LSU also. The guy has been a HC for a total of two years. His first year was outstanding even though he lost to UCONN. His second year he wound up in 6th place in his conference. He was 4-3 in his last seven games. Would have been 4-4 if he had coached the bowl game.

His third year, had he stayed at Houston, probably would have been even worse. LSU was lucky to miss out on him. UCONN his first year was horrible - but it was his only loss - so maybe a fluke. His second year he lost to Navy, SMU and Memphis while having more talent than those teams.

Will be? He already is.

Quote from whom I believe is a moderator on the Texas board on 24/7:

BTW, I spoke to a parent of another elite recruit this week, and he told me that O blew Tom Herman out of the water when I asked him to compare his LSU/UT visits. That has been the trend. O is doing a phenomenal job in the state of Texas and overall.

An enemy in recruiting

An enemy in recruiting would be someone who won some recruiting battles against LSU. Someone who could even come into Louisiana and steal a couple few players. It's almost like he is allies to LSU right now. If UT hadn't hired such a geek he would probably be winning recruiting battles. LSU is doing very well in Texas this year.

According to 24/7 in the 2017 class the highest rated "Texas player" UT signed was ranked #20. LSU signed 3 of the top 12. On another site LSU signed 3 of the top 6 and Texas didn't sign a top 20 player.

He is not knocking it out so far in recruiting to put it mildly. The Texas fans were bitching leading up to signing day because he couldn't even persuade the commits from Houston to follow him to the more prestigious UT.

24/7 had Texas finishing 26th in recruiting for the 2017 class. Texas fans can thank Georgia for having a hand in their strong showing. If both of Ga's RB's hadn't decided to come back to school, Toneil Carter would have signed with Georgia.

MACHO, MACHO MAN

Macho, macho man
I gotta be a macho man
Macho, macho man
I gotta be a macho man

what a geek !!!

Gump-like recall: 100% of LSU faithful crowing about Herman and bama's demise. Right.

he might actually be a worse recruiter than charlie strong, thats saying something

Strong is one of the best recruiters and talent evaluators in the game.

Nobody knows what Herman's recruiting skills are.. yet to have a full cycle as a P5 HC.

Then they were going to get Jimbo and dominate Alabama. Then it was about stealing Kiffin and getting all of Alabama's recruits. Then it was about stealing Sarkisian. Now a coach with a 22-29 record is going to destroy the SEC.

Yaw Yaw will be gone soon enough. Then maybe they will get an AD who will do a real coaching search. (That means getting off the money it takes to hire a good coach.)

Herman is not the coach Texas thinks.

LSU fans were down right scary during the time of not having a coach. I am happy who LSU ended up with considering everybody LSU fans wanted except for Jimbo.

They actually wanted to hire Lane Kiffin as head coach. The guy who was fired on the tarmac at the airport after losing to Arizona State 62-41. Kiffin had gone 4-7 in his last 11 games. Coach O took over the same exact program - players, coaches, support staff, etc and went 6-2.

AND LSU wanted to hire Lane Kiffin. The guy who was fired from every HC position he had held except 1. And that was only because he left after one year. CRAZY

so was shaka. ya'll have a strange habit of inflating your coaches' worth based on their past jobs, when they've all but failed at their latest ones.

must be the reason why we have no hardware, unlike the loaded trophy case aggy displays.

Strong failed because he was below average in almost every other aspect of being a head coach.

But thanks for the laugh, an aggy building a case based on "habitual inflation of worth" and "failure" as it relates to another program... much less one that raped them for 100+ years.
