I think you guys have a pretty darn good OC in Canada. Pitt had a great plan for us this past year. He threw out some new formations against and caught flat footed to start our game.

Canada killed us with the TE. Pitt had a good one. Does LSU have a good one on the roster? I would hope so as Canada seemed to use them well down the seam. Play was damn automatic. Also I think Etling will do well in this system.

Good luck! I think LSUs offensive woes may clear out a bit finally.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm at the point now where I'll believe it when I see it.

Plenty of reason to be gunshy. You guys are going to be pretty young too this year correct? I know yall had a lot of guys come back for senior year last year but now they are moving on plus any juniors leaving early. May take some time.

Talent, young or otherwise, has never been the problem.

We don't know. We have some highly rated pass catching TE's out of HS that were never utilized before.

Jamaal Pettigrew, #9 TE in the country for '16
Jacory Washington, #4 TE in the country for '14

Both these kids will be studs.

Pettigrew 6'7 250
Washington 6'6 250
Foster Moreau 6'6 250
Caleb Roddy 6'5 275 * they moved him from DE and is an athletic freak. Quite honestly I hope we move him back to defense. The kid is a stud!

This!

I was happy when Cam got hired and we all know how that turned out so let's wait and see how it works.

Canada was only good at Pitt because of superb skill players. They will struggle mightily without a better QB

Les Miles tried to make Dak Prescott a tight end. that's how much he coveted tight ends that we continued to never use.

We have two very athletic, 6'5" and 6'6" tight ends in Washington and Jamal Pettigrew that are great athletes. can't wait to see LSU finally use a position we allocate 20% of the roster for

I sure wish LSU had superb skill players...

Also Canada is well known to make mediocre qb's more than serviceable (See Brissett)

The Pitt QB had the highest efficiency rating in the entire ACC which include Watson and Lamar Jackson. Can you even name the Pitt starter? Exactly....Etling will excel very much in his system. He has all the tools if not more than the starting QB at Pitt at the moment.
