Honestly, with Guice in his second year, I think he will get less than last year.

Guice is really, really good.

I think he will have fewer than his 1,900 last year because he will share with Guice and hopefully he doesn't have to do everything this year

Considering He got right at 2000 yards in 12 games, yeah, I think he cracks 2000 in 13-15 games. His ypg average is the thing to keep an eye on. Remember, that took a huge hit at the end of the year, but if he gets 163/game again this year, he's at 2119 if no games get cancelled, 2282 if they make the SECCG and 2445 if they make the NC game.

Thanks for the recap. It's a perfect explanation of my point. Look at the big game. Alabama. It looks like he didn't even suit out, mustering a whopping 10 yards. He followed it up with a better, but still lackluster performance against our Razorbacks. Hell, one of the worst teams in the SEC last year held him below 100 as well. The Missouri Tigers. Really the biggest thing his stat line tells me from last year is that they ran him down the throat of teams that were straight terrible like Jackson State, that he was average in the SEC, and that Auburn can't stop the run. ETA: And it makes no sense that LSU fans would expect him to even equal his totals from last season when they expect that other over rated guy to get more carries this year. Unless they're trying to argue that LSU is going to field some sort of explosive offense this year. We know that ain't happenin' because they still have the same HC and O Coordinator.

WOW! I didn't think it was possible to fit so much ignorance in a single post. Congrats on the cluelessness.

He's going to have less carries but I believe he tops last years numbers. They're going to use guice more which will rest leonard a lil more. I'm thinking 2,080 yards(ish). He's coming with a vengeance from last season imo

If he stays healthy should average 120+ per game so 1400-1500

If Auburn decides to play with the same defensive effort as last year...he could drop a 300 burger on them

A&M...probably a record day for LF if we use the screen pass to get him the ball.

no canceled OOC games = 800

Bama and UF will probably keep his numbers modest but he has 200+ potential on everyone else

Do you really think LSU played Mizzou and Jackson State last year? Are you mentally disabled?

He is going to be looking forward to the NFL and will not give it his all. I know LSU fans like to think differently, but they aren't living in the reality that states "a healthy first round draft pick is worth millions
of more dollars than an unhealthy 3rd round pick."

But is considering a senior year

I think he runs for 1800 unless Watson is having an off year and he actually has a legitimate shot at the Heisman. If he has a shot come November at the Heisman I think he will get the carries and opportunity to why the yards he needs. If Watson is the going away favorite and is killing it again why would LF want to take on the extra carries when there is a back behind him that is more than capable of sharing the load and him not taking a beating in what is likely his last year before the NFL. Henry had to carry our offense this past season at times.

1900-2200 He's even more hungry this year for the Heisman even if he won't admit it.

LF is saying all the right things, team oriented things. But like anyone else, I am sure he would really like that Heisman. And I think as well, that Les wants him to win it too. If it doesn't interfere with winning, Les will give him a shot to get the yards.

In 12 games he had 1953 rush yards 22 TDs at 6.5 ypc with 253 receiving yards 1 TD at 13.32 ypr

He had an 89 yard TD called back vs Syracuse and a 59 yard run called back vs Ole Miss.

That's 2101 rush yards 23 TDs at 6.96 ypc in only 12 games. From Western Kentucky til the end of the year he had a true freshman FB, 3 freshman OL (2 true freshmen), a freshman TE, and a first year true sophomore QB, either starting or rotating heavily on the field because of injury.

He sat on the bench with over 10 minutes left in the 3rd quarter vs Auburn and South Carolina.

Using ONLY his actual stats over 12 games last year and projecting it in a national championship 15 game season you get:

2441 rush yards 28 TDs 316 receiving yards 1 TD

What I expect is 2400 rush yards 30 TDs, 350 receiving yards 3 TDs, over 7 yards per carry (5.51 as freshman, 6.5 as sophomore), in a 15 game national championship winning season. I mean my totals aren't far off from what he would have gotten in a 15 game season last year.

To be fair I said that he was average against SEC teams. In SEC play he averaged 125 yards per game. As I said, average. I guess it's average to slightly above average, but now we are nitpicking.

Average

Miss St - 159 yards 3 TDs, Literally 1 RB they faced did better than him and he won the heisman.

Auburn - 227 rush yards 2 TDs with 10.56 left to play in the 3rd quarter. Got one more goal line carry to put his total at 228 yards 3 TDs. Pretty much a half and a 3rd of another quarter is all he played. Only person that was close was again Henry at 271 and 1 TD, but needed 46 carries to do it.

South Carolina - 158 rush yards 1 TD 25 receiving yards, and sat out with 10.28 left in 3rd quarter and let his backup play clean up. Nobody really did better. Fournette, Guice, Chubb, Kyler Murray (yes the QB), all did damn near the exact same vs South Carolina that it's scary.

Florida - 180 rush yards 2 TDs 15 receiving yards. There was actually no one better. Again Henry was close at 189 rushing but it took him 44 carries while Fournette only needed 31.

Bama - terrible game for him, several RBs did better but I 100% blame this on everybody on his offense including the coaches, except for him. Anybody that objectively watched this game realized that you'd need Barry Sanders back there to do anything. The team and coaches let him down so bad in this game,.

Arkansas - 91 rush yards 1 TD (4.8 ypc) 36 receiving yards. Auburn RB did have more rushing yards and 3 more TDs, but he only averaged 3.24 ypc. Chad Kelly did do better, but he was part of an 80 quarter game.

Ole Miss - 108 rush yards 72 receiving yards (180 yards from scrimmage). He also had a 59 yard run called back. Henry did do better here rushing at 127 with over 5 ypc (because Fournette had that long run called back), but Fournette finished with more yards from scrimmage. Alex Collins is similar with Derrick Henry here. I'd also like to point out that our right tackle was out for this game so we had a true freshman there in his first start. Which meant we had 3 freshmen OL (2 true freshmen), a true freshman FB, and a true freshman TE starting for us vs Ole Miss.

TAMU - 159 rush yards 1 TD 43 receiving yards (202 yards from scrimmage). I'd say Henry and QB Lamar Jackson were the only ones better. Jovon Robinson did just as good rushing as Fournette, but had no receiving yards.

Outside of the Bama game Fournette was either the best or 2nd best RB every SEC team on his schedule faced. I'm talking every team they faced, even OOC and bowl game.

These are facts instead of some nonsense you spout.

Next year he will be better, his team will be better, and his stats will be better.

Maybe you guys will play Jacksonville State again this year and you can see if you can ride him for 500 yards so he can get to that 2,200 mark you guys are wanting to see him hit.
