Walker is done. If Poche and Lange win then Gilbert will pitch Saturday against Oregon State.
It's probably like a 5% chance LSU can win all 3 of those games. For starters Oregon State is likely just a better team than LSU.

Poche will likely be the better of the 2 pitcher tonight...the Lange friday...then I dunno. Id like to give hess a shot if we dont have to wear him down to get to game 3

I would be pretty happy to get win one or two more games but the pitching will keep us from winning it all, imho.

Not unless Lange goes the distance on Friday and Johnny Wholestaff brings it every inning on Saturday.

Lange goes the distance with a little of Hess, then you need Gilbert to go 7 with a Hess/Newman combo to finish.
I think we get to Saturday and fall short FWIW.

Yep, the first inning when he had 2 backward ks, one to end the inning gave him a lot of confidence and he was able to just continue to get ahead of batters. I think 5 of the first 9 outs were by Ks.
He had a game to remember the rest of his life. Love it!
