I don't remember many predictions for a 12-0 season, or winning the west this year. I thin the majority was in the 9-3 range and I bet most would have taken a 10 win season. Most thought the team was young in critical positions(QB, OLine, RB, WR, Dline) and the schedule was pretty rough but 2016 would be the year when all the pieces were in place to make a serious run.

Why the outrage now? The great start of the season was a byproduct of the schedule and how it was back loaded with the toughest games.

It (wanting Miles fired) really seems like a knee jerk reaction coupled with unrealistic expectations. The quitting on the team this year is really pathetic. I bet there are a lot of teams and fans that would be very happy with the current L5U team record. Can finish with 10+ wins this year and that is a very good season that can be built on for next year when the team is more experienced in the critical positions.

Bottom line is you cant get completely dominated and blownout by a 5-4 Arky team at home. I dont give a shite what the preseason expectations are

Actually a pretty good point. Though, the way they lost to Arkansas of all people is probably not something they expected or will tolerate.

10-2 with losses to Alabama and at Ole Miss probably would have been a pretty decent season, I'd think.

Last Saturday, not so much.

9-3

I said losses to Auburn, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

After the McNeese St game I saw the potential for Miss St to beat LSU but not Auburn. During Alabama I saw the loss to Arkansas coming. Right now I think LSU beats Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

I was firmly at 10-2. Well I thought I was, apparently I was optimistic when I posted my prediction and went 11-1.

I'll admit as the season went on, my expectation rose.

I actually thought 10-2.
Saturday was a complete shock to me. Worst I've seen the Tigers play in person in TS.
First time I left early, and felt pretty bad but I left with about 4 minutes left in the 4th qtr.

I thought we would win the West with maybe even 2 losses. I really thought the SEC West would cannibalize itself this season

ETA: And it has.

Way to much talent to get dominated by Arkansas. Lose a couple of hard fought sure but total domination by Bert 2 years in a row....

I expect 2 to 3 losses minimum every year.

With the exception of 2011, that has been the case every year.

Even Lord Saban only had one year at LSU where he didn't lose 2 or 3 games minimum.

He did not say ANYTHING about Harris and the turf. What are yall listening to?? He mentioned the Oline and the problems with footing and not getting their back food behind them on the push.

Just about all the normal fans said 10-2 or 9-3 and it all depended on how we got through September. Getting to Bama undefeated was fools gold and our fan base fell for it.

This nails it.

We werent competitive in either loss. Which against alabama, whatever, we went in with a gameplan to lose.

But to once again get dominated by an inferior team, this time at home, is absolutely 100% frustrating. That team couldnt even beat Toledo or Texas Tech...but once again we quit after the Bama loss and look lifeless.

The OL has gone from a strength of the team to a complete disaster in just 2 games. Arkansas hasnt been able to sack QBs all year long then all of a sudden Harris was getting hit every time he threw the football or was TRYING to throw it.

10-2 with a win over Bama. But I'll admit after the Florida win I began free basing the purple and gold koolaid predicting 14-0 and joining our team in gang banging the opposing teams cheerleaders after each win.

This. 102,000 people in the stands for a home night game and how do we respond? Like chumps. And that's on the coaches. Happens every season too.

I figured 2 or 3 losses out of Auburn, Bama, Arky, Ole Miss, and A&M.

I think the main reason people are looking for a change is Miles' demeanor. He looks finished. That post game presser was straight up depressing. Admitted he didn't know what the problem was or how to fix it.

But to once again get dominated by an inferior team

Ark didn't play well early in the year and lost games against team they were better more talented than. A lot of people thought they would compete for the west with what they returned. Brandon Allen is Damn fine QB. He has played well the past 2 years and him being a senior this year gave them a big advantage. Looking at their roster the only spot that they're inferior to Lsu is defense, especially DBs.

Sure LSU should probably beat them with the game being in Tiger Stadium. But they're not that inferior (this year) and are better in some areas, especially at QB. That is why they were able to beat LSU was by superior QB play. He knew when to change the play, read the defense and made better decisions.

It's like Lsu fans think Ark should never be able to be competitive and Lsu should always steamroll them, like it's some sort of rights.. Ark has been a pretty solid program for the past 10 years, with some really good teams and some really bad teams.

I'm not going to go through the Bama game as that won't be received kindly.

Y'all need to cheer the f*** up, support your team and show them that y'all do care and want them the best that they can. Report really does matter in the college game feed off of the crowd's emotions and it really has an impact on the play on the field. LSU fans claim that they are some of the best in the nation and that the Death Valley is one of the best stadiums and the loudest. So with the pity party and get behind the team. Y'all still can have a great season and can have something to build on for next year.

No QB with experience, thin at DT and LB, lost 2 starters out of secondary to start the year.

The shocker is how bad the OL is.

Our OL has fallen apart since the BYE week. Alabama's DL destroyed them and Arkansas finished them off to a degree.

The DL has been hit hard with injuries and depth issues all year and the Arkansas game was the tipping point. Luckily, we won't play a power running team until maybe the bowl game.
