How has he done compared to the preseason hype he got from you guys? Good, neutral or Cam Cameron?

Lots of pre-snap motions from what I can tell - those guys are getting marathon level cardio training in each game.

Neutral so far. He showed some great stuff early on in the season, but we’ve been anemic lately. Not sure if it’s the depth issues to blame, or what.

Imo your biggest problem in order:
1.HC
2.OL
3.QB

LSU fans are notorious for creating amazing expectations and hype for new coaches and recruits. this should not be considered because most of these fans are teenagers and don't know shite.

Canada is a very good OC. there is no magic. he has a OL that is problematic because it was already thin and the best guard flunked out. now we have a true freshman starting; went from a strength to a weakness. he's not the only problem but one player can make a huge difference on an OL. considering our QB is running for his life half the game, Canada has produced a pretty good offense overall. I think he will improve LSU's O quite a bit over the Miles version if given time.

OL is number 1 and it's not even close

PLay calling is being adjusted, because the OL hasn't been able to hold up.

Etling has played well this year. #4 passer rating in the conference.

I think as much noise as we are making about everything (Coach O, etc.), the O-line is as much to blame as anything. They are not good and we have NO depth

QB is not the problem. Etling is average. He's not going to be a big time playmaker but he isn't going to be the reason it goes bad.

I for one thought he would be night and day different. I was wrong, he is Cam Cameron 2.0
In his defense, he is without his stud rb, and he doesnt have a great qb. But still, I expected more.

His main problem is a middle school equivalent OL. That is what happens when 5 olinemen are run off prior to the season including the best of the bunch.

Just to be fair, the dline is in about the same shape from a depth and skill perspective.

We have had multiple OC's since 2000 and the offense has pretty much ran the same plays.

They have no offensive line, and the starting quarterback can't make all the throws. The offense would be better with Myles Brennan at the helm, though the mouth-breather faction of our fan base think one interception (where the receiver ran the wrong route) means he played terribly.

The offense seem to provide a bigger threat and have a better pace with Brennan in the game because the defense can't load eight in the box. The running game opened up with Brennan in the game because of the threat of the pass. But Etling will start because he's a senior, blah, blah, blah.

I would reverse these. If we had a good QB and OL, then O probably wouldn't look half bad.

No Ed O is the least of their problems. Al of their problems would be fixed with better trench players.
