Will be my first visit to Baton Rogue this weekend. Would like to know more behind the meaning of "Death Valley".
I've done some research of my own on LSU sites. Is this correct?

LSU fans may be surprised to find out that Swinney is technically right — despite Tiger Stadium being built almost 20 years prior to Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.
As the story goes, Memorial Stadium’s nickname began in the early 1950s from the cemetery that was perched on the adjacent hill overlooking the field. The name was solidified in the early 1960s when former Clemson coach Frank Howard received what came to be known as “Howard’s Rock” from an alumnus who had plucked it from the sands of California’s Death Valley.
One local legend suggests that a few years later, LSU began to refer to Tiger Stadium as “Deaf Valley” as a way to differentiate between the Tigers of Clemson, but eventually shifted into “Death Valley” after sports writers and opposing fans from other parts of the country confused the thick Southern accent locals used.

I mean it explains it right there. Do you need me to call you and read it to you? I know your reading comprehension skills aren't the best.

wear something that goes with urine and beer and coke ... maybe an off white that doesn't contrast with the colors? ...

This trip won't do it justice. It will maybe be half full and listless.
It's generally a fantastic venue surrounded by a gorgeous campus chocked full of tailgates featuring bounties of delicious treats. However, it will be essentially a ghost town this weekend.

Enjoy your trip. You, me, and the 20 other people that show up to the game should have fun

If y'all are up by 10 with 10 minutes to play some of our pitiful fans will leave. Ask Arky.
Besides that LSU is great. The stadium on saturday won't do it justice though unfortunately.

Normally, we would have our piss balloons filled and ready to go, but we are a little disinterested at the moment. The current vitality within in our program is in a decline.
Come back at another time and we will be a livelier bunch as hosts

I generally wear neutral colors to get to the stadium from where we park over by the lake. Had one friend whose father is in a wheelchair and walked with him. It's honestly the ost miserable place I've ever been with the relentless Tiger bait thingy and people who for whatever can't resist the chance to get in your face and spew vile crap at you. Once Inside I reveal my Bama gear. DO not go to the north side of the stadium. It can honestly be dangerous.
With that said, inside the stadium during the game is the best atmosphere I've ever seen in football.

If you're like most Aggies, Tiger stadium is a horrible venue because some mean old Tigers were rude to you in the 90's. Expect your tires to be slashed and windshield to be busted. Bring a poncho for the piss balloons.

The lakes and that area is where all the frat houses are and walking to the stadium from that way is where all the students hangout. Not saying they are all bad but that could be your problem. We are on the south side and we might give a tiger bait are two but will eventually offer you a beer some food and be genuinely kind to you. I don't agree being rude to away fans. What's the point these people are basing their views of a whole state on you.

The Stadium itself is spectacular. It's extremely loud at the beginning of the game. But as the game continues, it gets quieter. During half time, you'll think the fans are going to the bathrooms and getting something to eat and such, but actually, they are leaving the stadium to beat the traffic....
