You are not very informed at all and not going to debate the issue

The LSU open date before the BAMA game was 10-29-16 and Florida had a conference game with Georgia that weekend. Your whole response makes no sense

The solution was simple and never in your thread do you mention the Florida Administration and the way they handle the whole situation

There was no plan to gain advantage by LSU, only to play the game that weekend and not cancel a home game later in the year.

Florida was playing the situation more so than LSU to gain the advantage.

Another Florida Gator bitch. Isn't it sprinkling in Key West? Shouldn't you all be shutting down Gainesville and sending emergency response teams south?

That would be a lot funnier had they not kicked your arse AND parlayed it into home games the next 2 years.

LSU on the other hand took this classlessly. They mocked us saying we were scared.

Not our fault Florida was too much of a pussy to play in a little rainshower.

How LSU acted last year was a complete embarrassment for your university and state. To act like the year wasn't a complete disaster is delusional. A hopeful undefeated season turned into firing of your coach just to hire his dLine coach. Your fan base is still making excuses that it was "just a couple of plays inside the 10." Admit defeat and move on. Look forward to seeing you in the Swamp this year and next.

Who's delusional? This was UF's decision to make-or not make.

Florida's genius administration, coach and athletic administrators revealed a total lack of gumption and ZERO insight into ramifications of delaying a decision to play with an approaching cat 4 hurricane and the "largest mass evacuation " in the history of Florida. LSU offered team buses and planes, and procured hotels for team and some fans in an attempt to provide a reasonable option to play the game - in BR-with "home teams" flip-flopping for this year and next. The ONLY result of UF putting blinders on without a decision being made would be CANCELLATION of the game. For whatever reason, this must be what UF sought.

But in the end, what the hell is wrong with the SEC? There was little input from Greg Sankey-until it was too late. I'm glad he doesn't have to make life and death decisions. Did they prefer a cancellation as well? LSU's remedy to switch home fields for the next two years was certainly preferable to not playing at all and was really the best solution for a bad situation- unless, of course, if you really didn't want to play in the first place.

How can you forget that cancellation was the only other option to playing in BR? And that was not preferable, at least to LSU.

In either case, you have LSU in Gainesville for two straight years. The pressure is actually on Florida.

If the SEC commissioner had even the tiniest set of balls UF would have been set straight in the very beginning of this mess.

One thing you people refuse to look at is this--- Did Florida not play two, yes 2 years in Baton Rouge. Sorry you lost that last game 16-10 after bleeding sand for over a month. And, lost in your hissy fit is the fact that Florida lost two, yes 2 home games. For God's sake go see a gynecologist before you bleed to death.

The LSU open date before the BAMA game was 10-29-16 and Florida had a conference game with Georgia that weekend. Your whole response makes no sense

The press reported that Fla vs Ga scheduled for Oct. 29, was to be moved to the previous weekend, Oct. 21 (both had open date) to clear the way for Fla vs LSU in Gainesville on Oct. 29. Fla and Ga were reported to have agreed but Aliva, apparently trying to force a free home game, refused to consider using the open date before Alabama to play Florida. If the press reports were true, and had that solution been used, NO SCHOOLs would have lost a game.

This is just one reason, right or wrong, many people believed LSU did not try to solve the problem in good faith, but instead tried to use the hurricane issue to gain an advantage. Another was the unprecedented attack through press conferences and interviews on the Florida athetic program position... denigration, mocking are only a few words to describe Aliva and LSU's actions. Well... even if Florida was also acting in self interest ... whatever ... to see LSU fans STILL on here acting outraged and entitled and denigrating Florida after the overt actions of their own Athletic Director is disgusting.

I appreciate the position of LSU at that time, thinking they were competing for the SEC west title. And I do not excuse the SEC office, though I'm not sure how much actual power they had to force a compromise. But, maybe you ought to look honestly at how the rest of the conference saw LSU's role in this issue. It is one reason other school's fan bases were pretty pleased at the outcome of the game ... even schools with no love for Florida.

You are correct
yes I am. thank you. The score was close and it was obviously a very poorly played and coached game by LSU. UF had a lot of breaks, but did deserve to win. It was as ugly a game as you'll ever see though. I do however understand why the gators were sooo excited about beating LSU, a team that was struggling to a mediocre year. Congrats.
