ehhh, wash. Our front 7 recruiting hasn't been good lately (look at our current class 1 commit from front 7) and the fence needs fixing, so from a recruiting standpoint we are worlds better. I can't help but feel from an X's and O's perspective we are much worse.

I think best case scenario, LSU skates by defensively on talent next year, Miles goes out and hires a better DC and retains Coach O and Raymond. I will not be sold on Steele until I see that he is a good DC. His resume says otherwise.

Defensively, hard to view this as an upgrade.
The offense will need to produce more.

Doesn't make up for it, biut certainly takes the bite out of the DC hire. I'm not as negative on Steele as most, but it wasn't exactly a sexy hire.

Agreed - put out the biggest, fastest, strongest kids we can find and hope for the best. Dale brown formula - emotion and talent, forget all that X's and O's nonsense. Complete LSU gameplan - offense - give it to Fournette or throw to a white jersey, Defense - kill the man with the ball.
