I feel a little dirty about the way that game ended last night. There appeared to be one or two questionable calls that resulted in LSU winning. I think the most glaring miss was the tag at third - in which the guy was clearly out on replay. That missed call lead to the winning run.

I am glad LSU won the game and they may have won it anyway even without the missed call or two. That said, I do acknowledge that the frustrations of the Aggies are warranted in my opinion.

there are one or two questionable calls in every game. its called baseball. we just happened to benefit from it this time.

btw...the only questionable call IMO was the stolen 3rd base. it was close but i thought he was out.

Bad calls happen. Quit being a pussy. The faggies are pissed that the game wasn't given to them which isn't surprising.

Those were strikes.

He was out at third.

Done.

There was nothing clear about that play. It was bang-bang and inconclusive

He was safe at third. I was sitting right by third and he looked safe to me on a bang bang play.

That batter was looking for a walk, that last pitch could have been right down the middle and he would have taken the pitch. A&M pinch hit a right handed batter with a sub .200 batting average to face a right handed pitcher. He was looking for a walk. With 2 strikes he has to protect the plate on a pitch that close, that's a strike in that situation 9 times out of 10.

I agree if the roles were reversed every LSU fan on the rant would be starting 100s of threads b*tching about the umps. Glad LSU won but ,what comes around goes around in baseball though. A&M will get their payback eventually in this series or another.

Only missed call was at 3rd base IMO. People can say the A&M strikeout but if you look at the replay it looked to be right on the black and as a batter you have to swing in that situation

Regardless, you don't take that pitch at that point in the game

I would like the season to be ended on this note and crown A2m the champs of the universe.

LSU has been paying off the umpires for years. They have always gotten the close calls in baseball

He was out even though it's a hard call to make in real time

This. I can admit the guy was out at 3rd no problem, but I have no sympathy for the strike 3 call. That was pretty close and there's no explanation for taking in that situation.

That's baseball. Thanks for having the honesty to admit they were bad calls, but it happens sometimes. They were both close. It was a very good game.

Even Ben McDonald admitted it was a ball.

I also don't get why people say he should have swung. Let's pretend it was a 50/50 call. (And, let's be honest, it wasn't that close). A 50% chance of getting to first and bringing the go-ahead run to the plate means you don't swing. A .500 on base percentage is great. (Now...if it's 2-2, you have to swing at that.)
