I have faith the Defense will play assignment football and contain, but CM is a STUD... I still think we win by 10 because of our speed, but I am a LSU diehard, so looking for a different perspective.

Other than Nevis, our D-linemen are too small for this, and Francois will be a liability at SLB.

On the flip side, we do have Nevis, and Sheppard and Baker will be launching themselves at Newton's knees like heat seeking missiles.

Given Chavis's coaching abilities, I think LSU holds Auburn to 24 points or less. This ain't no Mickey Mouse defense they're going up against next week...

we need to spy cam newton and cant let him throw for over 200 and rush for another 100. if we hold him to 50 yards or less rushing, lsu wins

State pretty much stopped him and so will LSU.

pretty much stopping him still = 17 points

so it will be a tight game.

I'm concerned about Auburn's wildcat offense with Cam leading it.

Yea, that 5 yard scoring drive after the JJ fumble and the 8 yard FG drive after the botched punt return sure were horrible by our defense. How could they give up 10 points? And, WTF was Miles thinking playing the 2nd & 3rd teamers the entire 4th quarter on defense.

Not trying to to rain on your parade, but Auburn's offense is a lot better right now than it was during that game. At that point of the season, Malzhan and our offense were still searching for an identity. Plus that game was on the road. Next week's game is at Jurden-Hair.

I do think LSU will somewhat limit Newton, but will it be enough? I don't know. But to be honest, Auburn matches up much better with LSU than it did with Arky.

It was also Newton's first SEC start. He's now light years ahead of where he was then.
