I am an LSU alum, and I have a kid at Alabama. I have been anti-Miles, but I'm more or less at peace with the way things went down last night. Perhaps it is a good first step toward overcoming the Alabama fixation and getting this anvil from around our neck.

LSU fans believe Bama stole our championship in '11. It stole two games in Tiger Stadium in 12 and 14. It's about to steal our Heisman trophy winner and play for another championship. Rational? No. It's more like a lingering mental illness.

Perhaps last night was the therapy we all need to embrace and love who we are.

Hey Slippy, maybe it is a fixation on being at the top, and happens to be Alabama is the team at the top right now. If it were Aurburn, we would want to overtake them too.

This.

To be # 1 you have to beat #1.
