What a tremendous thread backfire this turned out to be lol

His stats are wrong anyway, what else is he hiding?
Going by his rules of FG's being failures and acting as if NOTs don't count, Alabama scored 21, not 20 on A&M.
I never said NOTs didn't count bud, but whatever fits your narrative...
This whole conversation was started with this comment:

Your OFFENSE scored:
I know it is hard to miss (in bold and all caps), but I clearly was talking the Alabama offense... And since you know your offense is putrid and struggles to score against awful defenses, you choose to deflect

You can bend my words however you'd like boss... I proved my point, and since you can't present a valid counterpoint, you've gone with irrational sarcasm.
Nice
It isn't sarcasm. By your definition a field goal is a non offensive score. Very clearly and specifically.

A summary of this thread:
1. I post ranks/ppg.
2. Alabama fans melt after seeing these ranks/ppg
I must've missed the backfire

You still haven't explained what happened to the 12 offensive drives that disappeared with the nots. I mean, that's a whole game of offensive drives.
Haven't explained how 3 TD's become 20 points instead of 21, nevermind what other numerical errors you might have made.
Also, the "putrid" offense is still outscoring LSU's offense on a per game basis (33.3 to 29.9), and is actually even further ahead, if you consider an entire game of offense disappeared, moving Alabama's 8 games to 7, and becoming 38.1 ppg for the offense)
btw, stats are fun.

ages 17 ppg more than its opponents allow.
But how many of those were given up by special teams or the offense?

Another solid counterpoint.
Alabama points from offensive TDs: 237
Alabama points from special teams/defense: 114
Meaning your OFFENSE has only scored 66% of the teams points... LSU's offense has scored 87% of the teams points...
Your offense blows bud... Sowwy

LSUs "new" offense scored 5 TDs vs Ole Miss while Alabama scored 3 TDs vs Ole Miss...
Care to explain?
When you score defensive TDs it takes away an offensive possession. Does that make sense to you or do I need to simplify it further?

And based on Alabama's offense, they likely wouldn't have scored had the defense not done it for them

Sorry, I made a 1 point error... Feel free to go through and fix any other 1 point errors I may have made, NO TELLING the difference it will make ...

Actually, under the current coaching staff LSU is averaging 41.6 ppg, but keep focusing on those Les Miles games

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen posted on the SEC Rant, which is saying something.

66% of 351 is more than 87% of 209 champ.
But please, continue your melt.

If you can make that argument, I can just as easily make the argument of:
"If the defender doesn't score, he probably fumbles while getting tackled"
The probability of a defensive player (more specifially a defensive linemen) fumbling the ball is pretty high

LSU has played the #3 and #4 defenses, and also played one less game champ... but what does that matter?

Sure, except this is the definition of an actual melt, with random numbers and %s spilling all over the place in a desperate attempt to deflect from previously discredited numbers and %s.

Does it add to points per game, sure.
Is it the offense doing the scoring against the defense? Nope, it is not.
ETA:
Some teams have kickers who can kick 55 yarders. Meaning all the offense has to do is make it to the 40ish yard line... stalling out at the 40 isn't very good offense, yet it could still lead to points.
This might be the dumbest thing I've read all day.

Yes, I believe it can have an affect obviously but not in the ranges some think.

The offense's goal is to score points. If you kick a field goal, you scored points. Just because the offense didn't achieve the best possible result doesn't mean they failed.
That's like saying the defense failed if they don't get a turnover, and only force a punt.
Not to mention, kicking a fg is adequately represented in the PPG stats. It's not the best possible result, but it's only worth 3 points, so it's adequately represented. There's no need to take out field goals, and to do so is disingenuous.
But you knew all that........I hope.
