That Auburn team was NOT a great football team. Ask Oklahoma on that one!! But of course by Arkansas standards that Auburn team was a "very good" team!! Beating a team that was not great by six field goals on your home field is NOT a good football team. A great team would of blew LSU out of the their own stadium.

Meanwhile your coach is 10-22 in the SEC and 25-26 overall. How does it feel to pay a guy $800K per win over all and $2 million per SEC win. He is in year 6 and never finished above 3rd in the west.

Damn dude, you brought a nuke to a slingshot fight

You'll get no rise against you from me despite your best attempts. The only decent thing Joe Alleva has done in the last 24 months is hire Will Wade.

This is every LSU fan's critique of the hire yet I've never actually seen/heard anyone say they like the hire bc he's from the bayou.

They put all their marbles in the coach Jimbeaux Fisher basket, but when he wanted a $7.5 million dollar a year 10-year contract, they choked and started looking elsewhere.

The courtship of Herman was very brief. Alleva met with him one time in Houston, Alleva asked him to keep the subject of the meeting quiet and then left to drive back to Louisiana. Meanwhile, before Alleva left the parking lot, Herman had already leaked it to his manager, who then had leaked it almost immediately to the Texas Alumni. Thus, before Alleva reached the Louisiana state line the whole world knew all about their meeting.

Anyway, with the exception of the Rant, virtually the entire state of Louisiana, most of the Alumni, the players, and the ex-players all wanted Coach O, and so that is who ended up being hired.

My biggest question is if they had fired Miles in 2015, I wonder if Coach Jimbeaux Fisher could have been enticed to come to LSU easier then? Considering who his manager is, I doubt it.

Houston Nutt was an upgrade from Orgeron.

That's why as soon as the player's Coach O had recruited and had brought to Ole Miss graduated or were no longer eligible anymore, Coach Houston Nutt then couldn't win with his own players and then ended up getting fired. Okay, I see how that works.

We fired our DC. If we lose to O again we may just fire our HC.

Well, get ready to fire him, because you are going to lose again to LSU. It doesn't matter really because he can't recruit and he can't coach anyway.

Coach O's record with coach Cutcliffe's shitty players at Ole Miss is 1-2. Coach O's record against Arkansas with LSU's elite players is 1-0 and soon to be 2-0.

In his 3rd year at Ole Miss against Houston Nutt, he lost 44-8

He did, but with the shitty players, he inherited from Coach Cutcliffe. With LSU's elite players, on the other hand, he kicked Arkansas' butts last season and you suey hogs better get used to it, because you suey hogs are fixing to become Coach O's bitch, bitch.

Meanwhile, coach Houston Nutt was able to win with Coach O's players until they all graduated or were no longer eligible, then subsequently he couldn't win with his own players until he was fired because he couldn't recruit.

He's a good rah-rah coach. Just get good coordinators and LSU will be solid

Would you be happier if he hired shitty offensive and defensive coordinators? Well, you would because you are an Arkansas fan.

Like all head coaches, he handles the administration, the donors, the alumni, the media, the high school coaches, the public at large, manages the assistant coaches, does his TV show, and overall oversees the LSU football program he is responsible for. All head coaches hire offensive and defensive coordinators because coaching and handling all of that other stuff is too much for any one human being to do. Coach O is no different from any other head coach, except for the fact that he hires elite coordinators and ensures they are paid well as long as they do their jobs.

Meanwhile, I don't want Coach O to micro manage the coordinators, I'd rather they handle what they were hired to do under Coach O's supervision and then if they can't cut it, then fire them. That's what was wrong with Miles, he couldn't keep his grubby hands off the offense.

That loon is from the Rant. On the rant, there are a ton of ignoramuses who were Less Miles brown nosers and they hate the fact that Coach O was hired because they blame him for Miles getting fired.

Anyway, everywhere in Louisiana outside of the Rant everyone supported the hire of Coach O. It's only those ignoramuses on the Rant who are obsessed with vilifying and demonizing him every chance they get, and that's because they believe that coach Less Miles was the best coach ever in LSU football, SEC football, and NCAA football history, and despite the fact that last year no one would hire that loser and everyone treated him as if he had the plague, as no one would touch that loser with a 10 foot pole. I can't say that I blame them.

Herman didn't string LSU along; Alleva pulled the plug when Herman wanted LSU to wait until after he had a chance to meet with UT.
Yep, ole Snow Peas Joe high tailed it out of negotiations with TH just because Herman wanted to hear what Texas had to say.

He didn't even try to sell and promote LSU or make a legitimate effort to get Herman.

The man doesn't have the promotional, marketing, sales and negotiation skills to be the AD at LSU.

Shite, at least interview other "Interested" coaches. Hear what they have to say and then make your decision. O was still gonna be there if he's still your man.

Very short leash now for both O and Alleva!
