LSU is getting rid of their best coach in program history.
LSU fans are saying things like
- "LSU is a top 5 destination job"
- "The new coach is going to get the keys to a Ferrari"
- "Our Quarterbacks suck, a new coach would turn things around"
- "We have so much talent, a monkey could win championships here"
- "Our current coach is just coasting"
- "We could get whoever we want"
Take "LSU" and replace with "Texas" and you have 100% exactly what sips were saying in 2013.
LSU is getting rid of their coach during a year with a LOT of turnover. Lots of options to choose from with lower expectations and easier competition.

The parallels are striking.

Will LSU 2016 = Texas 2014?

There are a lot of similarities...except the things that Texas fans were saying were true. They just made a shitty hire in terms of fit.

Charlie Strong is not Texas material.

This is you 2nd Miles thread in 10 minutes. You may want to consider taking a step back from the keyboard.

He's an Aggie. The LSU obsession is never ending.

Texas is a significantly better job than LSU due to the disparity in fanbase hygiene.

I have to eat lunch, but I think I'll be able to get through 5 LSU threads by the end of the day.

Mac won a more recent championship and only lacked solid QB play. Texas was also in the middle of changing offensive philosophy when Macster was fired. Miles refuses to change anything.

SO QB play was the biggest problem for Texas? Hmmmm, seems similar to LSU the past few years.

Well... they were in the middle of changing back to the spread from changing to a downhill running offense, so it was a change to a change, but this is mostly correct.
